Let's take a vacation to Chicago
I used to love the city.
Now you can't get me to go down there for any reason except fishing Lake Michigan.
Fucking cesspool.
New Mayor Brandon Johnson will have his hands full. 200 Chicago PD all ready quit since he won the election.
Prices are outrageous.
In 2022, Cook County had the #2 largest reported loss of people to relocation. Basically moving the fuck out.
I could see the city looking something like Detroit in the near future.

Used to love going into Chicago a couple of times a year to catch a Cubs or Bears or Bulls game. But that was almost 30 years ago. Then started going once a year for work, and noticed it was changing for the worse. Haven't been back at all in the last 15 years because the place turned into a ridiculously expensive and crime ridden crap hole. I have no desire to go back.

Other than food and women whats to like about any big city.Cement, glass, asphalt, traffic.? Personally i could not live any where without trees, rivers ,ponds, streams and fields. But i will say this the 2 days and nights i stayed there courtesy of my friends bookie, back in 92 or 3 i had a swell time.Never forget coming around a bend and seeing the color of the big lake, whichever one it is. ![]()

"it has also spilled into the suburbs. just wait until it gets warm out for the spring/summer. we will be all over the news for crime/murder rate."
Walmart just closed 4 stores in Chicago. And it was soley due to theft. Stores weren't profitable. And the people of those neighborhoods are complaining about Walmart doing this.
It has spilled into the suburbs like you've said. People are stealing left n right.
But if anyone starts jumping on cars and burning them in the burbs, I believe someone will shoot back to defend their property. Just an educated guess.

President/CEO of Walmart said ,"I've got the biggest chain of stores in the US and I've got a Billion $ theft problem"
Maybe Walmart should stop requiring shoppers to also bag their own purchases.
Just thinking out loud. That bugs the shit out of me. You buy $300 worth of shit and you have to scan and bag the stuff too!

Oakland's gift to Chicago. You're welcome. Chicago gave the world drill music which has helped usher in in an explosion of gang violence so Chicagoans can't complain. Chicago's different. I've been in a lot of different hoods in a lot of different places including some places in the Midwest technically grimier than Chicago but I've never been to any hoods in Chicago and I don't think I'm missing anything. The Midwest is grimy though. It just is what it is. It's not just Chicago.

I went off on a tangent and got of topic. The Sideshow. That is Oakland's gift to Chicago. What you were describing in that video sounds like a sideshow.

car jackings are going on pretty often by me. they're targeting a lot of elderly people, especially in the westmont area. the reason being is they are close to so many hgihways where the guys can hop on and take off back to the city. a lot are also getting caught and dupage isn't playing around. they're handing out 20 pieces to kids like candy. it also hasn't stopped them from doing it, either. i suppose when all you know is a life of crime, and your entire family has been to prison or is in prison, winehead bits and stretches are in your destiny anyways

Don't knock Jerry, bro. Apparently he is a member of the tribe. His life is way more interesting than I realized. For starters, he was born in a London subway station that was being used as a bomb shelter in World War II. I didn't even know he was from overseas. His parents fled Germany during the Nazi regime, and then eventually to America. He lost grandparents to the camps. And he was mayor of Cincinnati for a year. I think I actually knew that once upon a time.

Maury Povich too?!! How did I not realize this? Maury? It was right there all along. I mean, I don't wanna dip my toe in the waters of the offensive but he looks it. Let's just say I'm not shocked. I'm shocked I never realized it.

Since when is violence and vandalism a protest?
Let's get real, these kids don't know anything about politics. They are just getting their rocks off by breaking shit and making videos.
