Once again you dumb motherfucker. It's not a mosque. Its a Muslim community center with a small place of worship inside.

I understand you guys have trouble reading posts that extend more than a few sentences but try hard to read the whole thing. I think you guys can do it!
Well it's good to see you acutally read my post unlike Richard who by now I think everyone on covers understands is braindead.
Before you start labeling me as a liberal, treehugging leftist. That's not the case. I am a conservative but I don't blindly support everything that republicans back. I take case by case. I'm also a practicing Catholic. However this debate has nothing to do with liberalism or conservatism. I hope you all can understand that idea. This is a debate that ultimately you and I should have no say (unless god forbid you lost someone in (/11 attacks). I did not, thank the Lord.
I understand your analogy, however it is not a valid one. We're not talking about corporations. That's not fair at all to compare the two. My point is, there is a difference between a Mosque and a Community Center. Let's try and understand that. There are ping pong tables, pool tables, a movie room, smal fitness centers and then a small prayer room. We're not talking about a giant Mosque on the dirt where the Twin Towers once stood.
Also you guys are completely exaggerating where this Community Center will be built, it's about 7 or 8 blocks away from the ground zero site, It's not across the street from ground zero guys. Lets try and be a little more mature, because these muslisms building this mosque are moderates, all of you guys seems to be labeling their religion with terrorism. How fair is that? Any group of Muslisms that wants to build a mosque is NYC is now banned from doing so? How far away should someone be able to build a mosque from ground zero. By the way there is already a mosque about 14 blocks from ground zero. Should we destroy that one?
God Bless All

The diplomat, Ali Ahmad Asseri, the first secretary of the Saudi consulate in Los Angeles, has informed U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials that Saudi officials have refused to renew his diplomatic passport and effectively terminated his job after discovering he was gay and was close friends with a Jewish woman.
In a recent letter that he posted on a Saudi website, Asseri angrily criticized his country’s “backwardness” as well as the role of “militant imams” in Saudi society who have “defaced the tolerance of Islam.” Perhaps most provocatively of all, he has threatened to expose what he describes as politically embarrassing information about members of the Saudi royal family living in luxury in the U.S.
If he is forced to go back to Saudi Arabia — as Saudi officials are demanding — Asseri says he could face political persecution and even death.
“My life is in a great danger here and if I go back to Saudi Arabia, they will kill me openly in broad daylight,” Asseri said Saturday in an email to NBC.
In a recent interview, Asseri and his lawyer said that the Saudi diplomat was questioned by a Department of Homeland Security official in Los Angeles on Aug. 30 after formally applying for asylum on the grounds that he is a member of a “particular social group” — gays — that would subject him to persecution if he returns to his home country.
