Can you tell me what this is about? I don't understand why the Catholic Church can deny communion unless that person has committed a terrible crime.
I can't imagine life without church, although I know that many people today don't attend services. Some of my classmates considered themselves atheists, which was also surprising for me to hear from high school students. After graduation, a few of them started going to churches in portland. They shared this with me at homecoming and told me that I had been right in school. They found peace and many answers in religion.

Catholics are a funny bunch. The Irish American Catholics especially. Not so much the Italians, the Hispanics, or the SE Asian/Pacific Islanders but the Irish Americans... The Catholic guilt is real.
