You know how hard it is for even a couple people to keep a secret? If it was really scripted some underpaid player or unappreciated assistant with a grudge wouldve come forward years ago with a pile of evidence.
Not as salacious, but i think the refs often will call ticky tack penalties that they dont always call to keep games close. Team driving and you need to slow them down to prevent the blowout? Holding. Team struggling on offense and you need them to keep it close? Illegal contact on defense. Things that happen every play basically but they dont get called every play

Yup, I've been saying it all season long this year's NFL TV producers aren't even trying to hide the fact they script all these games now. People still don't want to believe the truth:
