I do not think the league is rigged, i do think its influenced. Big difference.
Anyway to all the guys who defend this league like they are defending there familys name, what is your excuse / reasoning to this?
Vikings missed facemask call: Referee crew responds to missed call by blatantly lying to whole industry:
""On that play the QB was facing opposite direction from me so i did not have a good look at it. I did not have a look and i did not see the facemask. He was blocked out aswell, so that was the thing, we did not see it so we could not call it"
and this is the REF literally 1 metre away with a 10/10 view of the play....... ??

The lines follow the flow of wagers coming in, I believe. I have seen to many times, a knee taken at the goal line to control the spread. Not saying the better team wins, but there is a ton of stuff that controls the spread. Been gambling for over twenty years, it took 5 years to look at things differently. Usually when it seems to good to be true, it’s not, go the opposite. Refs control a lot of the games.
Gambling is only a problem when your losing!

But watch out post MNF ... they will be out in full force defending the league on anyone who makes a rigged thread, but will continue to completely ignore this one

I don't think it is rigged for one side or another necessarily but more 'designed' to be close for as long as possible to keep fans watching till the end, keep ratings up and keep eyes on ads. There's a reason most spreads are within a single TD.
You can even see it in the way the schedule is designed they want the division races and playoff spots races to be tight as possible at the end of the season.
If you think 'Vegas' needs to rig games one way or the other you don't really understand how casinos work. There are a ton of sports to bet on year round, they don't need one game to go any which way. They draw up lines to get action as even as possible and even if it isn't, there will always be plenty of games where the lopsided action goes their way anyway. And besides that, they make more money on slots alone than in the sportsbook. Most people bet every week and aren't going to beat the bookie long term either. It's not necessary. You're just talking through your pocket if you think that.
With massive swathes of 18-25 year old amateurs walking around with a mobile casino on their person every waking hour of the day, playing parlays and player props and live betting on quarters and halves... there's no need to fix games. People will lose plenty anyway.
I do think the refs often absolutely cannot wait to throw a drive extending flag for PI, roughing, etc to help a losing team make the game closer at the end of halves and games. You can see that quite easily. But that's why (my picks for this week notwithstanding lol) you need to be careful not to play too many favorites - something the public tends to do.
They're also human, it's a fast, violent game and they can't see everything. Missed calls or bad calls are super annoying but they tend to even out over time and that's why grinding out a winning percentage on single bets, betting a small percentage of your bankroll is preferable to loading up on one game. You can't put yourself into a position for one call to make or break you. If you don't go too heavy on one game or play parlays (where one team often lets you down and causes a big swing) it's easier to absorb a bad beat here and there. You never remember the good beats (case in point, I had the Lions and barely remember that facemask play)
If you can't accept that you will need to survive coin flips in the NFL pretty much every week, and it's stressing you out too much, then you need to find a new hobby. I hear birdwatching is very relaxing, and a pair of binoculars can be picked up quite cheaply.
