Heartbreakers was a gem.  My favorite Liotta film.  Frustrated con/love character.  

Nervous/amorous conman.  Gold Diggers Varsity Squad pays a visit.

Extreme over-acting is a big one, mostly Pesci and Liotta.   General dislike of mob movies.   Did like Donnie Brasco.   But Goodfellas does nothing at all for me.

When dealing with a biographical piece, sometimes overacting can be attributed to staying true to the source material. The real-life inspiration for Joe Pesci's character was a reported hot head.
