looking at regular season penalty yards/game difference of 15+ between teams. i believe this provides a look into the discipline of teams and chose 15 yards as the difference of a personal foul penalty.

this yields bowl game point spread results as follows:

b grn +15 vs sjsu (sjsu covered)

fres +25 vs smu (smu covered and won outright)

w kent +16 vs cmu (cmu covered and won outright)

ucla +34 vs bay (bay covered and won outright--ucla was +54 penalty yards this game)

wash +31 vs boise (wash covered--boise actually had more penalty yards this game)

so this is now 4-1 with 3 dogs winning outright. tonight's game has ttech +24. tomorrow has nwest +15, rice +30, syr +20, and ore st +20.

winner, winner, 16-oz rib eye dinner (but being so late i'll save it for tomorrow).

there were personal fouls all over this game, but tt ended up with 50 more penalty yards, in keeping with their entire season.

hope it keeps up tomorrow--breakdowns in discipline are hard to overcome in december and january.

1-2 today (nwest not playing til tues) with tex winning outright.&#xD;&#xA;record now 6-3 with 4 dogs outright winners. &#xD;&#xA;up next is usc &#x2B;30 on mon, nwest and stan both &#x2B;15 on tues.
