Still 34 degrees in Buffalo

Lake Effect last Monday/Tuesday...  80+ on Sat/Sun.  35 and Wintry Mix today.   Fuck this shit.   But no, climate change ain't no thing...   Not a drop of snow in December.   Had measurable snow last May.   

Longer, colder winter for Midwest than last year. And no January thaw in upper Michigan as there usually is.

Back in the 70's we had 70-80's right before spring break. Everybody heading to Sanford Beach as soon as the weekend hits. Saturday came and so did a foot and half of snow!

Weather is completely upside down here WNY ...50's and some 60's in November- Dec...   Teens and 20's over night in March , April ...

We get one day in the 70's in April , followed by 30's and 40's ..

That storm looks like a freak occurrence...We've had some crazy freakb ones here in late April as well ( 1985 was bad ) ...

I'm not sure that global warming has anything to do with our Summers ...But it's been real hot the last few July's....Never seen so many days in the 90's here in one summer

2021.    5 days 90F or higher

2020.   11 days 90F or higher a record that beat 1988, I assume 1988 had 10 days.

2019.      1 day 90F or higher

2016 had 8, 2012 had 9. No data for this beyond 2010.

From 1900 to 1960 there were 43 years where Buffalo reached 90F at least once.

From 1960 to 2020 there were 43 years where Buffalo reached 90F at least once.

Record high is 99F on August 27, 1948.

Records go back to 1874. Assuming every day since 1874 has a recorded high and low................there have been 64 recorded daily record highs since 2010. By probability should be around 27 new records for the time period 2010-21. There has been only 19 new record lows since 2010.

On the flip side there have been only 9 lowest-highs recorded since 2010 and 55 highest-lows recorded. 

So yes Buffalo NY warmer overall from 2010 to 2021.

 Really appreciate you digging up all that Buffalo weather history...

My son's last soccer coach is a meteorologist at one of tv stations ...Very interesting person to talk to about weather history and climate change ...Believe he mentioned the terms averages here have risen by 2.42 degrees since 1970 ..

Our goof ball mayor declared Buffalo would be a climate change haven back in 2019 ...Solar panels are going up everywhere. Some type of special porous pavement is being laid ...I read through some 30 something page document of the innovative things they were doing or planning...I'll have to see if it's saved on the tablet ...

So Buffalo is in the top 3 for cloudiest cities and up go solar panels. Sounds like wind turbines would be better.

IMO, If China isn't pushed on climate change no matter what we do were just along for the ride.

Byron Brown lost his own party's nomination ( Democrat ) in the last election ...A judge he owns quickly changed the rules in his favor ...His people were outside polling places handing out rubber stamps to voters during the final mayoral election ...He won ..

The only time he goes to the black neighborhoods he claims to be a part of  is for photo opportunities , then quickly leaves once the pics are taken ...There is a saying around here when you're leaving work for the day " I'm browning out "    Meaning I don't care if the job is done , or what anyone says , I'm leaving without  any accountability or consequences FU  ....
