I don't believe that it was. I really don't.
BUT.... I'm not gonna sit here and lie and say that I know for sure. Is it impossible? Fuck no. Anyone that would try to claim that they know 100% is full of shit.
There are some things that are a bit of a head scratcher to me... The Onside Kick. The Manning interception, where he almost looked like he was trying to emulate what Neil Odonnel did back in '95 as he made an MVP out of Larry Brown.
The 4th and goal stop certainly made it appear as though it was a legitimate game. But what the hell happened to Manning on that pick 6? This is one of the greatest QBs in the history of the NFL that just made Ryan Leaf look like Bart Starr.
And is it just my imagination or did the Colts not seem to care too much?
Once again, Im just trying to stir up a debate here and hear what people have to say...

Hasn't Peyton thrown at least one INT three out of the last four games? No fix, just a hard played game. The torn ligament was probably a big part of the loss and Colt's defense was not that good in the second half. And the Saints played really hard.

highly doubt it....probly one of the best ref'd games all year....the 4th down stop did secure the 1st half cover for the colts mind you....and the pic 6 was a little suspicious lol....if it was they did a pretty good job disguising it,unlike 06 when the hawks got jobbed....avtually i change my mind...YES,it was fixed!!

Most teams and most coaches would NEVER expect an onside kick to start the second half.......let alone the 2nd half of the Super Bowl. They porbably didn't have their "Hands Team" on the front line so give credit to Sean Payton to have the guts to call it, the kicker to execute a perfect kick and the other players to recover the fumble.

Since I know you watched the game, did you count how many times Manning hooked up with his receivers on that slant route??
of his 31 completions, half were on the slants. A QB and receiver have a specific step and timing pattern and Porter guessed right. A half a second late and Wayne makes the catch and the 1st down.
The 4th and goal stop.
Why wouldn't you question, FIX?? on the 3rd down play where Bell slipped. Did he do it on purpose?? We'll never know will we.

This one did puzzle me. I think the Colts were just too shocked and thought they couldn't lose to the 'Aints!!
