What is your favorite cheese on a grilled cheeseburger?

I have 2. Both involve toasting the bun on the grill as well. Sliced tomatoes too.

Blue cheese - Strong aromatic cheese, spicy yet not really overpowering. In my area, we call it a stinkyburger. A sweet onion and tomato makes for the perfect spicy/sweet combo.

American cheese - Perfect melting cheese. Smooth and creamy. Absorbs the smoke of the grill as well.

American is classic&#xA;Pepper Jack is a solid choice, but I like spicy so it&#x27;s not for everyone

Swiss is good but it requires a higher melting point.  You have to slice it thinner.

Blue Cheese is the most overrated cheese of all time. Blue Cheese is arguably the Jimmy G of cheeses.

There is something for everyone in this world though. There are people who probably like black licorice dipped in blue cheese. Bless their hearts as my texas friends would say.

There are some places in underdeveloped countries that have 1 type of cheese to choose from at the store, so we are lucky we even get to debate this.
