UGH my fucking post just got deleted but ill sum it up:
U dont ever post anything that comes off as intelligent in the poker forum so i reccomend giving it up
buying in 40X the bb is nto enough
Deep stack poker takes a ton more skill and i think that everyone should be required to buy in at least 100X the bb
Why would u put a handicap on the owner, if he is sitting at the table then he is fair game, would you only pitch the ball 3/4 speed if your friend was at bat?

for your info i didn't go easy on the owner, i pushed hard and we ended up with a split pot, but we both figured to have the same hand so i could've checked it down, instead i chose to push incase he had a weaker kicker.
also i didn't think 5-10 blinds were deep stack poker as you state it is, 300 min- 1500 max is deep stack???
whats the diff in a 5-5 game you say 100x is only 500 less than 5-10 game. you can sit at that 5-10 game and play top hands only and only chase if the odds are right...
maybe i was right the first time, you should suck a fat one

Are you kidding me, the limits have nothing to do with if it is deep stack poker, you can play .05/.1 deep stack, it has to do with the amount you buy in compared to the blinds.
Reading your posts are like a kick in the nuts every time.
dunno what you are talking about with the "5-5 game" thing
And if you had the nuts vs the owner how could he possibly have a weaker kicker
i feel a little bit stupider after reading all that...

I'd buy in for about 600 in that game. As for the raises, it depends on the table. I have played in many 2 5 games where I limp with aces and have 1 person raise to 25 then another to 75. At that point you have to evaluate the other player (75). if he is tight, he likely has jacks or better (pocket pair, doubt Ace-King). You want to play him heads up and pray no scare cards come (J, Q, K). But if you think he is an aggressive player, it is sometimes better to reraise and get him off the pot. Reraise 200 guarantees you about 115 profit. if he is tight, and the other player is a decent player, you could smooth call him preflop and the other player will fold. The 75 raiser probably will put you on AK because you did not reraise and then you could get some real money. Good luck soupcan, always liked your posts in football

spoon, hand we both had was A9 i had spades, he had non suited, flop came 939, turn was a 4. river was a K. so i put him on same hand and maybe he could river me with a weaker kicker if an A didnt come.
how bout this: im on button with A6 spades last night its 5-5 binds i call a raise of 15 and there are 4 callers. flop comes all spades and no pairs, so the nuts is in my hand unless the board pairs on turn or river, but it doesn't get that far as im first to act. i check oviously, kid to left goes all in for 190/185 something like that. now the owner acts(same guy mentioned before) calls his almost 200 bet, 2 others fold and im sitting there with about 570/600 so i go all in to put the other all in if he calls he has about 230/250 left. sure he calls he already had 2 hund in the pot with a chance to win another 250 off me cause he has 10 something spade flush, kid to left turns over king something spades fush, i have the nuts, ship the cookies
about an hour later:
im delt KJ offsuit UTG and just call, i think there was a min raise to 10 but not sure, either way it was a limp and there was more than a few callers. flop comes 9TQ rainbow. what do you know, but in this situation ive been paired too many times on the board so i make it 50 to go(pot was prob around 70) and only one caller, and this guy is looking at me like he wants to double up, i mean im no blonde chick with fake tits so whats up with the stare. i put him on trips, maybe two pair at best so i let him do the betting, turn comes garbage low like 3 or 4 maybe 5 but two hearts now. i tend to forget the exact cards sometimes unless i lose then its stamped in my mind. i check once again and guy bets 75, i ponder for a min, someone calls time so i look and see he has about 150 left on top so i reraise him 100 on top of 75 figuring he'd go all in, sure enough he does and has trip 9's and one card to go. i cash later that night with more than enough money to go to FLA for a week, which ill be for the SB. theres a real nice game down there too, at this country club with some fat cats who have deep pockets, buy for 2G min i hear some members buy for 12/15 large. i have a call to get me in, we'll see what happens
another thing, spoon. i read some of your posts, i never said you don't know shit. you could prob add outs in a hand quicker than i can, but i am no joe shmoe i play top hands and loose when it calls for it. there is no reason to lash out at me in posts saying to give up poker. i set my traps sometimes and then i run them down.

Well online it's always a max of 100 BB for the stakes you play. I know it can vary in casinos.
If you're going to sit with only $500 in a live 5-10 game then you need to play optimal short-stack strat which is waiting for your premium hand and going all the way with it.
Don't vary your preflop raises so you can disguise your premium hands better.
If there are several limpers behind you, pot it. 5-10 NL isn't high stakes live so you'll see a lot of feebs playing marginal hands and you want to force them out, or make them make a highly -EV play to see the flop against you.
You can basically play ABC poker live and make a profit at 5-10 NL. Good luck.

I wish that i could flop the nuts twice in one sitting, let alone twice in one hour, and not only that have it WIN both times. And wtf you get the dream situation with the second nuts and a retard with trips in against you? Pretty fortunate situations, but i dont know why you brought them up. Im not trying to be a jerk but, i just dont see the relevance.

when the board is 939 4 K, A9 isnt the nuts.
