5-5 and about 7 hours into the game, i get pocket AA 3 times, first time i hit the flop and quads on the turn and got a minimal payoff but nothing like i wanted to.
next time i get pocket AA i get beat by a strait flush on the river
last and final time of the night i get pocket AA and guy in front of me raise to 40 preflop, i smooth call and a few others call 40 also, flop comes 6 6 4
guy who raise 40 goes 85, i come up over him 185 total and what do ya know, the greek pushes 400. of corse after a raise and reraise guy gets out of the way, and i think im dominated but i got a ton in the pot already. thing is i know how loose this guy playes and i really didnt want to throw all my chips i worked 7 hours to get into a made hand so i took as much time as poss and say fold but show the table my AA and this freakin guy shows 4 6 offsuit.
calls 4 6 off on a 40 raise
i couldve isolated the other guy who had QQ and pushed the greek outta the pot, but thats hindsight
from now on i dont care if im only pickin up 40 plus the pot, im hammerin the shhit and make them F-ers pay to see their garbage hit
i cash up 650 on the night and it was more than a double up, but man ACES cracked twice and quad ACES and i dont get paid off. what a freakin nightmare

I like this table. Guys call 8xBB raises with 64o. You should be grateful you have players like that. And you cashed $650. Recent session I had KK which I reraised with, guy called with J8s flop comes 7 9 10. Maniac who was playing and going all in with any two cards (this was $20/40) I get KK and he has AA. My bankroll ended up down $7000.

Thats how I am soup, you cant slow play aa or kk, especially against reckless players. Take what the pot gives you and go from there. Dont try n take more out of the pot than you can.

Occasionally somebody with a lesser hand will call your big bet on the AA and you can make money that way. Or you can lose that way.
I wouldn't overreact to this. Every situation is different. Some tables you might be able to slow play them. Others not. If you were sitting next to a guy playing loose then you probably should have bet them hard just like you said.

Calling the $40 in the 2nd example was a poor play IMO. You were in early position (it sounds like since others called behind you) and all you did was make it more attractive for others to join the party....and that's the last thing you want.....tons of players in a pot when you're sitting there with A-A. The guy ahead of you raised so unless he was playing stupid, it's certainly possible he has a hand that can call a re-raise on the flop. And with A-A, one taker for the pot is certainly fine for you.....I think people need to try and play A-A the best way possible and live with the results....you're not going to make a killing on 'em every time.
It's one thing to just call if you're in the BB facing one raiser in late position. But you invited the dude who had 4-6 into the pot by not raising pre-flop. I will slow play aces in specific situations, but you picked a LOUSY time to do it IMO.
Sorry for the bad run on A-A, though.

yeah, i find myself in the habit no matter what i have in the pocket to try to not over bet the pot. i believe all 3 times the pot was small like not even worth pushing at the point it was my turn to act. i know this and say this but in this situation again tommorrow night with 60 in the pot and i push 140...i get greedy i guess.
i was betting throughout the beat w/ strait flush, fact is, the guy had his open ended on the flop, so i pushed and even pushed more on the turn but by then he was committed so my only option on the turn was all in but he did onlt have one club and there was already 3 clubs on the board and he was quickly calling every bet. i figured maybe he was made and was letting me do the betting so i didn't want to go too crazy and he sucked out on the river with one club and got home with a damn good hand.
who wouldn't want to get paid off with quad aces???? someone whos in the hand w/ AA on the board may have hit trips and AA could've made their boat, you never know
as for the 4 6 i find out from someone that i guess thats the guys fav hand to play. 4 6
would he call $80 w/ his fav hand 4 6, if the money was right and he was in position, sure. he called 40, if there was 40 then my 80 or 85, and one other caller , hes comin in and oviously the original bet of 40 is an automatic call to 80 or 85. i wouldve had to make it 140 and just take down 50 bucks w/ no callers and thats my stand from now on. but like i said, limpers all around, to pick up just 30/40/50 bucks on a heafty raise with AA or KK just to push out the garbage sounds good now, but facing a 25 or 35 dollar pot to push into when at the table isn't what you want, you want a ton in the pot and have a ton behind you to push, but in a perfect world right.
