Looking to stay at MGM for the 1st time next weekend and planning to play alot of poker. Anyone here played at MGM?
Big poker room? or small poker room? Like to know what I am getting before me and a few of my buddies head out there.
Any recommended poker room on the strips where you get alot of loose players? I got plenty of loose action last month at Caesars palace but it's farely pack there.
Thanks for the heads up.

I am not a fan of MGM myself...I like Caesars...however...if crowded is not you thing, Stay Away from Bellagio...it is by far the most popular room on the Strip, it's not my thing but I know people go there to see Pro's which happens alot...I also like the Wynn...have fun...I go out there Saturday for the Liddell UFC Fight..

Personally, I do like the MGM. It is a pretty big room located in the middle of the casino right next to a club...so it's a bit loud. The games open up quick and there are plenty of tourists playing. I'm in Vegas all the time for work and the MGM is one of my favorite places to play.
If I had my choice, I'd play at MGM over the others. Bellagio, Caesar's and Wynn are all very nice. Wynn being the smallest of the group. Bellagio is crowded and full of famous faces, of both the poker and non-poker variety.
Other nice rooms include the Venetian and Mirage.
What kind of game and stakes are you planning to play? I'm not being nosy but your taste in games could have some impact on which casino you would enjoy the most.
I have a lot of thoughts and experiences playing out there, typically it's a lot of fun and if you are a decent player it's a good spot to make some money. Fun, profitable games.....tough to beat that.

Gus, have a great time at the fight. I was there 2wks ago and did very well at Caesars cause I was staying there. Although this time, I am quite a bit away and don't feel like taking a cab. Therefore, looking for action at MGM.
MMAC66 - looking for a nice 2-5 NL or 5-5 NL game with about 10-20 tables at the most. How would you rate Caesars vs. MGM? or Bellagio vs. MGM?
Not looking forward to the cab ride to Caesars but I'll go there if I have too. My personal experience at Caesars is..lots of tourists who stayed there have lots of $$$$ to spend and alot are looking to have a good time = loose action player.

i like the MGM room...lots of room, they give u a buck an hour comp which is better than most, dealers are friendly and usually after noon they have all sorts of games going on. i like that room
i like the bellagio too , but its all crammed but there is always a game going on so no big wait usually.
never played at caesars but its a seperate rom so you are not even "in a casino" its like going into a seperate place to play...too quiet

Almost forgot the most important question:
Loose players are everywhere in Las Vegas! Just watch out for the few competent players in each game....they aren't too hard to spot!
Good luck!
