ok since christmas i built my roll from 100 dollars to 5500 basically on just hot streaks between sports betting, online roulette n poker . i made a couple of big bets like 500 on two different sports games and i lost .so then i was plus 4500 , i stopped for a while and then restarted about a month and a half ago ..lost a quick 1G then a week from the loss i was up 4500(3500 plus after i restarted) so at that point im up 8 G's.......after some tilt bets and chasing a lil money i lose i lost about 3 g's in 2 weeks. then in the past 3 days i lost a bout 1500 ..so im still up 3500 since chrstmas and im tahnkful for that so im tryin 2 quit cuz i know i'll end up losing i t all..my problem is im not content with playin low limit poker anymore ... ...it now takes me at least 1-200 dollars in order 2 actually feel like i win money and plaus i like 2 chase my money..like i want 2 get back the 4 G's i've lost since bein plus 8 g's.....i mean, its not i was doin really smart things to be plus all that money, i just was on a real lucky swing , now it feels like its all fallemn apart. im done with sports bettin and roulette.hopefully, mayb i need GA, but i jst need some advice on how can i get back to mentally be comfortable with playin low limit poker cuz i really cant affford 2 lose anymore of my winnings cuz i dont have a steady job and dont have alot of money...My girlfriend constantly asksme if i really like poker y do i have to play for money..My answer is if were not playin 4 money then nobody really takes it seriesly .So i ? myself now do i play for the money or the love of poker..mayb i am just an action junky, but i really do think i like the game..i dunno , im so confused..im sure i've made some of yall confused just by reading this...I know i should just play alot lower limits and stop chasin the money i've lost and B happy with the money that im positive 9about 4500) i know its all mental from hera and how i look at it all. I know in order to win u have 2 b able 2 face losing without chasing....does anybody else find they start playin poker and worrrying about the money rahter then the game?

Luck does tend to change so STOP chasing and trying to catch up. Your are going to have swings both ways in poker thats why you should only take about 5% and no more than 10% of your bankroll to the table or tables at any one time and you will be able to absorb the losses.

I think you have the answers to your own questions

When I first started playing poker I would occasionally think the money while playing (especially when there was large bets to call) even though I knew that was the wrong thing to do. Now whatever I take to the table to buy-in, I do that and then focus ONLY ON THE GAME AT HAND. To do anything else affects the way you play and there is plenty to focus on without worrying about your money at the table.
Good Luck

when u think about it as money its usually when u are running bad. when im going good i just think that "okay im playing and i gotta raise here" when im going bad im like ah shit im down this much if i can win a hand .......
for about a month i wasnt winning and then id go and not win and sorta play bad and it kept going id bring too much to the table because i knew i was going bad and wanted 2 buy ins....stupid shit like that...last week i finally put together 2 big winning sessions in a row by just playing super duper tight
when i lose i usually just stop for a while
