I'm don't know what I've been doing, but it's working. Just came back from 2 sessions playing. Up 3100 from Saturday night and 1200 from yesterday. I'll go over some of the key hands.
Was playing the 2/5 N/L game. was down 600 at one point. The game just sucked. No action at all so I jump to the 5/10 N/L table. The competition is a little tougher, but the pots are bigger.
Key hand #1 "Against Mike Matusow Jr."
If Mike Matusow had a long lost brother, this guy on the table was it. Talks a lot of shit and everbody hates him. I was on the button with 5 limpers. I have Kd 10d. So I make it 100 hoping to take the pot right there. Boy, was I wrong. Matusow Jr in the BB calls. This other old man calls. Flop comes 7d 6d 3s. Check, check so I check. Turn is 8 d. Check. Old man bets 200. I just call. Matusow Jr goes all in for 580. Old man calls. I wasn't afraid of the old man. I sit there thinking of what hands Matusow Jr had and what hand he would put me on. There was a possibility he had nut flush(if he had the nut flush, I still had a straight flush redraw as back-up), smaller flush, maybe set. But I'm pretty sure he put me on AK with the A or K of d. Just as I'm thinking. Matusow Jr. winked at me and I'm thinking "wtf dude?". So I cut out 380 and thinking about calling. And he turns over his hand. He showed 77(he thought he had the best hand by showing) so I called. river was a 4c. I won the pot. That old man had QQ with the Qd. That old man was pretty sneaky. He had 205 left, but he was hiding 200 between his forearms. All I could see was a red white chip. Had I known he had 205 left, I would've been 205 richer.

Just as I'm sitting there playing. I sense a fowl smell. You know, the kind that comes from somebody wearing the same pair of socks for 2 weeks. So I was trying to look for the culprit at the table. Turns out, it was this kid sitting at a nearby dead table. He was taking socks out of this bowling bag and changed it the ones he was wearing. Moments later, he came into the game. Just as he sat down he argued with the dealer that he didn't have to post. This just slowed the game down with upseted me. Finally, he decided to post.
First person to act had 65 dollars left and went all in. Smelly feet calls. I call with 99. Flop comes 10 9 2 and I cleaned out smelly feet. Just as he got up to leave the table, smelly feet patted me on the shoulder which was weird. The dealer thought it was pretty amusing that he got busted in the first hand.

6 players. Im in the BB with 83. Flop comes 843 rainbow. I check. This greek guy comes out betting 20. I make it 80. Another caller. I comes back to greek and he makes it 300 more. Now, he either has 88, 44, 33, 84, 83, 43. Out of those hands, I would only beat one so I folded. The other guy calls. Turn is a 8. "Son of a bitch!" I was thinking to myself. Other guy checks. Greek bets 200. Other guy folds. Greek shows 84. Wow, I was lucky because he had 1900 in front of him and would've doubled-up through me.

5 callers. I had AsAh in the big blind. So I make it 100. One caller. I put him on pocket pair or a big Ace. flop comes jh 9d 9c. I check. He checks. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have pocket pair because he would've bet in this situation. Turn is 5h. I check again. He bets 145. I make it 400 total. He goes all-in for 1230(830 for me to call). Hmmmm.....
Before I go on, let me tell you I'm not one of those people who falls in love with aces. But something was not right here. Did he call me 100 with a 9? Did he have 2 of the remaining 9s? I doubt it. I check twice so he must have thought I have AK. Did he have JJ? I don't think so because if he had a boat why would he make all-in reraise if he puts me on AK? He would know that I can't call the all-in with AK. In addition to that, he would've waited for me on the river if he had JJ. Same goes with 55. But as I said earlier, I pretty sure he would've bet the flop if he had 55. I don't think he had a flush draw because I have the Ah. So he either has a 9(which I doubt) or nothing. I finally make the call. He had AK was drawing dead. I guess he thought that we had the same hand and that If we did, he could've taken the pot down right there.

I really enjoy your stories. Let me know when you go to AC, I would like to play with you. I have also been on an incredible run. First off, let me explain exactly who I am. I have played poker for a long time now, but before this month I would hit up AC a few times a month but mostly played 20 dollar buy in cash games on campus (I am a college student). Keep in mind that I was a broke college kid and, a month ago, if I had 50 dollars to my name, I was rich (and then, of course, i would spend it on weed haha).
So a little over a month ago, I had a decent session in ac playing 1/2 so i had 300 dollars to my name, for me that was a lot of money. I put some in pokerstars, and one of the players at my table's picture was an ad for homepokergames.com. I was bored so I checked it out. I found a 1/2 game that is played near my campus Wednesday and Friday nights. I went the first Wednesday, bought in for 120, and turned it into 820. The next night, i bought into a 10 dollar game at 8pm on campus. turned that into 30 dollars. Then I heard of a 20 dollar buy in game across the street. Turned that into 99 dollars. Then, at 2am, i heard of a 40 dollar buy in game across campus. Turned that into 240 dollars. The next friday nite i went to the 1/2 game and lost 120, but i made some friends who informed me of games in the area other nights of the week.
A week later, I went to AC and turned 200 into 1450. I have since started playing almost every night, and have had one losing session total. In all, in a month, I have made 4000 and change. I really feel like I know the game well now, and I hope this doesnt change. A month ago, 50 dollars was a lot of money to me. Now, Im sittin pretty with a few k. The funny part is my parents have a joint bank account with me, and if i deposited it, they would see and realize how much poker i have been playing and how high the stakes have been (i play up to 10/20 now) and they would kick my ass. So I am walking around with 4k in my wallet all day. I probably should do somethinng about that.
Keep up the good work CK, and keep us informed with your streak

youngone, that is an awesome feeling, i too dont use a bank account, for whatever reason, i kind of had the stu unger mentality that id rather have cash then let the banks steal my money. Walking around with a wad in your pocket adding to a couple G's is an awesome feeling.

youngone, i don't see myselt going to AC anytime soon. if If I do, i will give you a holla. nice to see that 2007 has been good to you. I remembered that when i was in college, I was pretty much a blackjack player(and you know how that goes).
he must have known that hand was weak and he didn't put you on AK he put you on a flush draw.
he told me the next night that he thought I had AK with the Ad.
You were smart and lucky to call and land the diamond.
I had the flush already.
Lot of people with a flush draw seeing the 7's might have just folded.
That would be the wrong play. If I just have the Ad, I would quickly call because the pot-odds is almost right. 380 to win close to 1900.

fucking right again. Sometimes I would think that if a thug would shoot me at my left upper thigh...that wad of money would prevent any damages.
hell yeah
Also, to either CK or youngone, have you ever just went somewhere, say a fastfood place or w/e, pulled out your wad and the cashier just been like , happened to me the other day at chick-fil-a, pulled out my wad to pay and the cashier was like "Damn man what do you do, can i work for you?" I laughed and told him i was a professional gambler . Nothing like money and respect.

Still not sure why Matusow, Jr. didn't bet his set on the flop.....make someone make the wrong play to call with a flush draw. If he gets a call on the flop, he likely knows the next diamond makes someone a flush and he could consider folding.
