proposition bet, like side bets on random things. I didnt see tonights episode but i know what you are talking about. Its like they bet on who wins the most money in an hour, how much you win on your biggest hand etc. just bets on things like that.

Im not really following what you are saying. Obviously this isnt the only game that these pros play in, there are tons of cash games and big tournys around the world. WSOP, WPT, Aussie Millions, Poker Superstars, the high stakes cash game at the Borgata, Online poker. All of these are played by pros and most of them are multi millionaires and so playing 300/600 isnt gonna bust their rolls. Although, i have heard Negraneau say something like "ya, well who spotted you to play this game?" to matusow before, so im sure the other pros lend out a hand to friends and other struggling pros.
Colonel, there is a very interesting book my friend was telling me about called the professor, the banker and the suicide kings that takes an indepth look at highstakes poker games. From what he told me it sounds very interesting, its about andy beal, a very rich man who apparently likes to donate to the poker community, most notibly i know that Phil Ivy took something like 16 mill off him in heads up play in 2005. Although i believe this book is more focused on Howard Lederer (the professor, his nickname and in the title of the book).
