Anyone watch this show?? It seems to me, that the players are more interested in their golf games, and the side bets, then the match. Does anyone know if if the company(Full Tilt, Poker Stars etc.) the players represent pay the $20,00 buy in? Do the players have to make a certain amount of appearances for the company they rep?? Maybe this is a way for for these players to fulfill their obligation to the companies? Some of players seem not to have any interest in face time on tv. I understand that the shows are all taped at once, but I can't understand why some of the great names in poker are playing?

Yeah, it's kind of annoying, especially all the golf talk.
(Ironically, I know the course they're talking about and the streets they're mentioning to get there. It's also a very public course and not very expensive.)
But, I like this show because of the fact that it's not edited down to Humberto and his stupid shark. You can actually hear them speaking to one another and discussing hands after the fact, etc.

That show is, by far, the worst poker show Ive seen. Its absolutely boring as hell and not exciting AT ALL. Plus Shana lloks like she's aged about 15 years since her HOT WPT days

Newsflash: Poker is not an exciting game to watch, nor is it supposed to be. Hell, poker isn't even that exciting to play unless you're in a big pot.
That other WSOP crap, is just that, crap. If you play poker, you get nothing from those broadcasts, because it's just your typical mainstream media bullshit again. It's the networks looking for a "story", in this case anyone that looks or acts like a freak (like Humberto), not the real poker players. Plus, there's no real poker coverage, as in, discussions of hands or analysis of play, nothing.

And the banter on the side is what makes it unique; the poor table etiquette displayed by delayed decisions ruins the show.

I seriously cannot fucking stand that!!!
But really though if you are watching to see how the Pros play each hand and how they play certain situations it's not bad. Boring but helpful if you are trying to understand and get better at the game. It's way better than watching the WSOP where you basically learn absolutely nothing. The best POD that I saw was like the first one where Phil Hellmuth got pissed off at the table constantly talking when he was trying to make a read and he stormed off the set. I really thought he and Shawn Dickhan were gonna drop the gloves, woulda made great TV.
