OK so playing a 2/5 no limit game. I am small blind and pick up KK. guy makes it 40 to go, woman calls, and another guy calls. My action I push the 350 chip I have into the pot. Guy who made 40 dollar raise calls, other 2 fold. So now its the 2 of us I throw my cards up. He flips 1 card up and ace. I say ok whats the other one, you got pocker aces? He give me a nasty look and says something to really piss me off. So I go off saying if you flip 1 card over you need to flip them both over. Situation got really ugly and I was throw out of the poker room. Was I wrong? Once we are both all in and their is no more betting if he flips 1 card don't I have the right to see the other card? I guess I was the jackass and thats why tossed but I hate people like him. Smerky little gangbanger that I would love to follow into a bathroom lock the stall and proceed to pummle the shit out of him and teach him a little bit about respect.

Though I am a little scared of you now i will say: He has the right to not even flip them over in a cash game until the showdown and then he can force you to show them first (you bet he called). If he did hit his ace he would need to show both to win. He ws just fucking wih you and i guess it worked.

in a cash game he doesn't have to flip up both of his cards until the end. He was just being a prick as common courtesy says he should've either told you what he had or just not flipped anything up. What did he have anyway???

it may depend on the room's rules, but this is not a tourney where they will want the cards flipped up, in a cash game some guys will turn up their cards, some won't for various reasons.

In most poker rooms (Bellagio, Commerce), in cash games they don't have to flip up their cards when they are all-in, only until after the river if they want to win the pot and they are last and no one mucked a no show, they have to show them. If they show one card, and it is a cash game and it is heads-up action, they are not forced to show them both and they can comment about the hand, any outsiders aren't suppose to be involved in conversation as it could lead to collusion and confusion. After the showdown, two hole cards must be shown to win. The reasoning for the rules is say their is a faulty deck with two Aces of Spades and you get dealt them, and you don't notice or prefer not to mention that the deck is corrupted, and you win a huge pot showing just one card (for one example if four spades were out and no straight flush, you would have the nuts). The first time I've seen it happen about was about 7 years ago in a limit hold'em cash game.
