GSR: Has a great room, great staff, great comps. If you can catch one of their pot of gold tourneys (used to be a WPT stop so gets lots of residual action) they are fantastic. Lowest entry fee anywhere plus great hourly live play comps and room rates. Downsides, nothing higher than 2-5 though few places in reno ever spread higher than 2-5. Same players day in and day out. Can be good or bad depending on your approach.
Atlantis: Very nice establishment since the remodel. Very accommidating staff, but rarely anything over 1-2. Right next to the sportsbook if youre a sports player and they have the best spa/workout facility in Reno. FYI, day passes are 45, a massage is 65 and includes daily access. The cioppino on thr bridge cant be beat.
Eldorado: Good spread of games, both limits and variety. They have stud and omaha regularly. GREAT action on thurs-sat with lots and lots of Gamboool. great winrates here for solid TAG players. Downside, crappy location, crappy food.
Peppermill: Good room with talented players. Lots of regs. Highest limits ive seen in Reno, 5-10 on occasion. Great tourneys, decent food.
Wouldnt bother with any other rooms.
This is how I would schedule my daily play:
GSR am tourney each am @ 11. Usually 12-20 players and pretty soft. Play deep, stay and play the evening games with a break for dinner (if summer check out the pool). If busto early go to peppermill and play the 1pm. Depending on action stay and play peppermill or go down the street to atlantis.
Went to undergrad in Reno and had a pretty good weekly schedule when I was there. Lotsa soft play, esp thurs-sun. BOL.

Why are you coming at me? All I did is post logical, factual, objective information here to help out others.
Lol. There are shills and prop players in every game in every casino. They are usually casino staff and it is required by Nevada state gaming law that they post this. You obviously have no idea how a poker room works.
The reason for shill players is to keep a game going when it gets short. And yes, in a table stakes game, where Im up 300+bb i want the game to keep going so I dont have to reset.
Obviously you need to be defensive to back up your inferior knowledge of the game both live and online.
FYI Boomtown was not included on my list of poker rooms since it is a shithole. No wonder you played there. Bob Cashill thanks you for your money...I mean patronage.
Not AT ALL surprised to learn you drive a semi for a living. Was that your lifelong dream? Did you play in the sandbox as a child dreaming of driving a truck? No. You ended up in a dead end life due to your shortsightedness as exhibited on this forum. Enjoy trying to piece together your shattered dreams. I feel so bad for you. Really.
Dont bash me just because Im trying to contribute constructively to this community. I do thank you for getting my produce to me safely though.
Jerk.

I was in Reno for a week last year and stayed at the Peppermill....and for some damn reason I only played poker at the Peppermill. I was with my family so I guess that is why I didnt venture over to any other card rooms. But I was pretty happy with the Peppermill card room and did notice that there were a lot of regulars there with a number of solid players. All in all I think I would reccomend the Peppermill card room to people although I dont have any other card room in Reno to compare it to...
