yeah, running 70 miles in 24 hours is a major feat for most of us,,, but the dude that lost got used, plain and simple,,,, this in fact is an old scam used many years ago by someone because i remember reading about it in gambling times magazine,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, while most of us cant even jog a mile or 2 some one in great shape who used to be a college athlete and who just ran 17 miles a few days earlier, well, thier in a different boat,,,,,, jogging on a treadmill compared to jogging on hard dirt or pavement dont even compare!!! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, treadmills in gyms sit on a rubbery type floor, plus the treadmill gives a little when the feet pound on it, plus the belt is spinning helping your push away compared to jogging on pavement where you do all the pushing off ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, on top of this put 1 hand on the rail with a little pressure and it's even easier on the legs!!! ,,, you only have to put a hand on the rail once in a while when no one is looking to give your body an easy break!!! ,,,,,,,,,,,,, the guy that lost was'nt even in the gym most of the time watching so it would be easy for the jogger to hold on to the rails just once in a while to make it a lot easier on the legs!!!,,, when you hold the rails it's like you're just floating along!!! ,,,, even if you dont touch the rails a treadmill dont compare to running on hard ground!!!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, also the dude that lost the bet thinks the winner was out drunk the night before, but the losing bettor was'nt with them,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i think the winner probably did have a few beers at the ballgame but by the time they hit the club i believe the winner poured his drinks out in the rest room or was ordering pepsi's and his other friends may have thought he was drinking as much as everyone else!!! ,,, it was a crowded club, no one knows if he was ordering pepsi's at the bar instead of liquor,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but wait, the loser also knows that the winner left the club with a girl, so supposedly he was drunk, went to a girls house and screwed and then arrived home around daylight, so the loser thinks the winner has had no sleep,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but the loser is wrong as the winner had this all planned out with a girl he paid some money to a few days before, he simply left with her and did go to her house but only to sleep,,,, so when he got home that morning he went back to bed for about 4 more hours of sleep so he was plenty rested!!!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, in other words he was'nt hungover and he was'nt tired,, he simply made it appear this way knowing it would be easier to get a big bet going and screw his so called friend out of some big money ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, also this winning bettor is known in the poker circles for being a big prop bettor that always has to have some kind of silly action going on!!! ,,,,,,,,, the winner probably even lost a few little prop bets in recent weeks on purpose to make betting against him look easier!!!! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i'm 100% sure the winner simply pulled a con on his friend to get the money, but maybe his friend should have known better!!! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, also the losing bettor go's out of his way to report the details of the bet in a long 2 part blog only a day or 2 after it happened ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, if you read the 2 parts it's almost like he's trying to get the poker world feeling sorry for him, could it be that maybe he hopes some of his more successful poker buddys will pitch in and bail him out?,,,, sure sounds that way to me!,,, or with all the details is he hoping to get offered a movie rights deal?? ,,,,,,,, something is real fishy with this whole thing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, hell, with these type of degenerates maybe none of it really happened,,, maybe they just planned something for attention for whatever reason!! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but if i had to bet my money i say it did happen and like i wrote earlier the losing bettor just got hooked, like a little fishy!!!!!

Ashton Griffin is theASHMAN103 online.
I know he plays alot of PLO on PokerStars.
He was playing Isildur1 $25/$50 PLO heads up a few days before this bet went down.
And this was not really a $1,000,000 prop bet. It was a $900,000 prop bet laying 3 - 1. He won $300,000.
I know Justin Smith and a few others had some side bets going as well on this but I would not really call this a $1,000,000 prop bet. Unless I am missing something, which is possible.

Ashton just won a 100k entry high roller event not too long ago or he came in 2nd, at least that what i hear, cant remember now but he's also won some other good money lately so he was for sure looking to gamble it up a little as he would be playin on house money so to speak ,,,,,,, the poor fellow that lost had 285k of the 300k, but he had a chance to win nearly 900k ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, if ashton would have somehow lost, the 900k would have hurt but like i said he's won several million lately so he was on a free roll and he knew he was at least a 99% lock to win!!! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, by the way, i was at planet fitness a few hours ago and i asked one of the trainer guys what he thought about the bet,,,, he thinks that running 70 miles on the treadmill in 24 hours might be at the very most equivalent to running a marathon without stopping, and thats at most he said,,, if ashton used the side rails or handles in the front any at all then it makes it much easier than a marathon,,,,,,,,,, also keep in mind he had 24 hours to finish it, so he actually stopped and rested several times, plus he got to eat and drink gatorade ect ,,,, his poor buddy got suckered no doubt! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i'm sure ashton was totally tired when he finished but by having his dad have to help him limp back into the house and almost have to carry him up the steps i think was just some good ol hotdogging by the winner to make it look dramatic!!!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, hold on to your wallets fella's, somebody's always got a plan!!!

Good to see some stuff like this in the poker section.
Ashton knew he could do it and thats why he offered 3-1. Haseeb should have known he was getting duped, let me see he asks around he has 0% chance of doing this yet he is giving me 3-1. Suckers bet big time.
Funny thing about all this is Justin was the one who was suppose to bite instead he turns to Haseeb just to get a proper odd number than he says okay book it. WTF
This part screams scam
Around 2PM Doug and I went to Ruby Tuesday's to get lunch. While we were eating, we got a text from Ashton saying that he was looking for more action, and that he was going to find other people to buy it up so he could put up 900k of his own money. I remember when he read that text aloud to me, Doug looked at me dumbfounded. We had no idea how to take it. The first thought that came to our minds was that Ashton was self-destructing. That he was putting it all on the line, and wanted all-or-nothing. I remember thinking that the sweat-drenched Ashton, in that musky little gym probably felt happier and more alive running on that treadmill than he had in some time. He had meaning in that moment. He must've felt that every pound of his muscle, every strain of his body had a meaning and clear direction behind it. He knew exactly what he was fighting for, what he was hurting for.
Half an hour before the bet starts you bump a 70k bet to 285k.
