I get 5th in a DS 100 buy in short handed tourny on tilt paying 1740, got out with kk vs aj, that is typical for me in those tournys, woulda been chip leader by about 100k. Anyway so i really wanna "press my luck" i guess you would say and so i went to 5/10 heads up. Man i got rocked. So i buy in the 1740 and it goes back and forth for a long time i get down to about 950 then the standard happens.
Me: button
opponent: obviously big
Me: kc10d
opponent: jx9x
Me: call 5
Opponent: check
Flop:Qh 5d Jc
Opponent: check
Me: bet 20
Opponent: raise to 70
At this point im thinking he has some random queen or some random jack based off how he has been playing and i really wanted him to raise my 20 anyway because that told me he would give me action if i did his my straight.
Me: call 50
Turn: 9d
Opponent: bet 120
Me: Raise to 600
Ok so lets count the pot 280 before my raise because 10+10+20+70+50+120, and then i raise and it makes it 400 and then 480 more on top. Now lets assume that i have thus far proven i will not try to pull off a bluff. What hand can he beat? Would i have called his raise on the flop with 59, no i wouldnt. after that, what can he be hoping for? 5s and a flush draw idk. Anyway so he reraises me the remaining 350 or w/e i pretty much instantly call, unclick the auto-post blind because i want to get the hell off that table, and am seconds away from safety when
River: 9c
So i lose the 1900 pot to a 4 outer. To be expected really. I guess im really coming in here posting this to prove i actually play poker, not like some howard lederer who talks about it and plays once a year or w/e. Live i did well winning 950 playing 1/2 heads up, this weekend.
This is more for purposes of venting, i know i made the right play, i know it was unlucky, i know nothing i could do about it, it just sucked.
