Election meddling. That's what that is.
They are unscrupolous as they put their own biases into creating and producting a narrative. But they should not be banned. Let me explain.
1/ To be fair, it happens on the other side, There is bias everywhere. There is no possibility of avoiding bias-- FULL STOP.
Alex Jones was removed simply because he was meddling (peddling conspiracy theories) in the 2016 election. He had three to five times the likes and shares of the Clinton campaign and reached well over 6 million people. THAT got the attention of the DNC after the election data came in and could be analyzed.
The EXCUSE we get from the media is that it was his revolting show after the Newton massacre (calling it a staged hoax) that is why he was banned from all social media. However the truth is, he was extremely effective at weaponing anti-Clinton narratives. He was banned for being effective, even if it was entertainment purposes only, Jones alone probably swung the election, and for this reason he was banned. Has NOTHING to do with the school shooting report. He also did reports on Clinton's Haitian child trafficking, on Lizard people running DC....
The media is banning people who share Alex Jones' stuff now, or even pro Trump type media. Many small business owners have two accounts. If they get banned on one account, their linked business account is also banned, and the results can be financially costly. I think this is a dangerous precedent. Tomorrow, it could be the leftists favorite spokesperson who gets banned.
Google, Apple, Twitter, Facebook, etc etc, are all on one side now, and pulling for the corporate left (which "represents their values" more).
2/ I think it is dangerous to ban ideas or messages, and dangerous to ban people to the dark web. It is not reflective of an open society. IT WILL LEAD TO VIOLENCE. Were those 8chan posters-turned-shooters frustrated their ideas were banned from the mainstream???? People need at least the illusion of power over their lives. Even the leftist shooters reacted from a feeling of powerlessness.
I agree that Trump is brash, very Queen's like demeanor, too cutting....but there is no reason to edit videos, misquote or take out of context. People are seeing this and catching on. This will backfire and Trump will solidify and expand his base. Trump is the American anti-heroe myth in the making (accord to this base). Trump now only talks to his base, and it is expanding in part because of this dishonesty by the leftist media.
Talking only to his base should be a weakness, since he isn't uniting the country, or trying to reach out to the other side. to appear to be uniting. Yet the controlled messaging and attacks of "racism" are a leftist a failing plan to force voters into voting blocks of self interest (identity politics) which the DNC is going all in for yet again.
3/ The Dems should focus on the class divisions in society, the shrinking middle class, the creeping power of the elites. Nope. They are tripping over on their own hoaxing, misinformation, propaganda.
OVER REACTING will reveal what cards you are dealing out. THIS IS THE DOWNFALL OF THE LEFT, in its current downcycle.
They will come back again, but to stay on top the left must be more HONEST, more RESPONSIVE to the shrinking middle class, and STOP the over reacting and creating hysteria. LISTEN to all sides. Do not ban voices out of frustration.
Although the left represents more of my values, in their current state, they are playing a game I do not want any part of.
What sparked their removal? The idea is similar throughout: Jones violated the social media platforms’ hate speech policies.
Facebook defines hate speech as "a direct attack on people based on what we call protected characteristics — race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, and serious disease or disability. We also provide some protections for immigration status. We define attack as violent or dehumanizing speech, statements of inferiority, or calls for exclusion or segregation." Youtube has a similar definition. Apple does not define hate, but writes that content may be removed or rejected if it could be construed as racist, misogynist, or homophobic, or depicts hate themes.

As far as the middle class shrinking -- read the link below. Not exactly a bad thing, and certainly not the way it is portrayed to make people get riled up.
