I did not author the post below. It was posted by a vet, who is a moderate, a volunteer and a good man. And who - in a simple but random act of kindness - personified the adage: 'goodwill toward men'
Amid all the increasing polarization in this country, including in this forum, this single post stood out to me to be recognized for its inherent goodness. The message is as touching as it is compassionate, at a challenging time in America when this is arguably what is sorely needed.
So I copied his post and saved it on file, and now is the perfect time to repost it as the "Covers Politics Forum: 2020 Post-of-the-Year"
========= JULY 30, 2020 I just got back from our neighborhood Publix. Just picking up a few things before the storm hits us.
Saw a guy I've never seen before collecting the loose shopping carts in the parking lot. I'm a pretty big guy but this guy was huge...like former NFL lineman huge. He was sweating his ass off & seemed so out of place.
He came to get my wagon & while thanking him I asked if he had been working @ Publix long because I hadn't seen him before. He told me 'no' & that he had been a construction contractor but lost his business & had to work there & drive for Uber at night.
I felt horrible for the man. I peeled off 2 twenties and stuffed them in his hand & told him things will get better. He said they already did, because now he'll be able to get his daughter a present for her birthday on Saturday.
There are so many people hurting now through no fault of their own. When you see something, do something to help our fellow Americans.

Geez, why'ont give him a handjob while you're at it. If you knew anything about that man or really paid any attention to to his posts, you'd know that buying a veteran a pair of socks or freaking cup of coffee would mean more to him than nominating him for "2020 post of the year" or whatever jazz it is you're playing. That shites arguably the "happiest" post on covers for 2020. And I would know because i'm almost always in the running for happiest post of the year. Maybe not this year. Off year.
Either way, Happy New Year to all. Happy, healthy, and prosperous.
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!

13 Reasons why Trump Wins Reelection
(that Liberals will never understand)
1) Norprath Primary Model --Never lost an election!! The model speaks for itself. No liberal will dare look at it or try to understand it, will reject immediately. 2) Oxford's GDP Model 3) Washington primary Model 4) Voter registration trends (Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, republicans closed the gap and /or surpassed new registrations) 5) Enthusiasm gap--enthusiasm means more volunteerism larger crowds, more donations 6) Gallup Party Affiliation 7) Social media activity--larger viewership online, trends..... 8) Google searches--Trump and Trump related themes dominate 9) Are you better off than 4 years ago? 54% say yes. Unbeatable position. (NOTE: one outlier poll) 10) Rasmussen polling of Job Approval for Trump by Black American LVs polls consistently over 25% four consecutive weeks, and 46% post debate
11) 51% approval rating (NOTE: from just one outlier poll) An incumbent with an approval OVER 50% is in an unbeatable position (has never been beaten).
12) Internal polling has Trump tied, leading, or within 2 points in every Battleground state, with improved numbers and positions from 2016.
13) Trump is planning on 3-5 rallies everyday to election night in all Swing States, heavily watched on social media
"MacGyvering" the sports world for winners.
