just curious about the folks in the middle, if you are one of them, what will decide it for you?
A very interesting question. However, you will find that there are very, very few true Independents.
Pew did a study a while back. They found that more or less 1/3 of folks claim to be Independent. But only 6-7% express no leaning to one party or the other. Then out of the ones that lean to one party, their views are much closer to that party than they are to the Independents that lean to the opposite party.
I point this out to say that there are very, very true Independents. Most people that claim to be Independent seem to be more identified with Democrats but afraid to say that -- or simply want to portray being Independent. I can only recall two or three posting on here in the past and two of them no longer post.
I say all of that to say this: If someone does not know by now how they will vote, they are too ill-informed to be voting in the first place.

There are stark differences between the two major party candidates, both on ideology and character. I agree with Raiders22; informed voters should NOT be undecided.

@DogbiteWilliams
I may have written it harsher than it would sound said aloud.
It is simply that the issues people are concerned about are clearly defined by each party right now.
A lot of people are one or two issue-voters. It would be different if there were a few issues that were new all of a sudden that needed addressing and each candidate had a unique proposal to address them.
But on these issues we have currently, nothing either candidate could say would sway folks.
It will be a matter of getting out the voters in the key states.

@Raiders22
To me, these candidates are night and day.
THAT SAID-
I would love to have a very, very nice discussion with people who are not decided and hear what interests them.
I agree-
there are not many but the polls do ever so slightly change from time to time.
Some people are changing sides.
So, if you have recently changed sides or are undecided, please let me know why.
And, if we do find some folks who are still deciding, please treat them with the utmost respect and let their voices be heard in a non- judgmental forum.
Thank you.

There are probably about, what, 500,000?
probably less?
people who are about to decide the fate of this country And I would just kind of like to know who they are.
And what they are looking at.

@Crashdavis565
Will be interesting to see what some do have to say.
Did see where RFK support dropped way off when Biden was pushed out. Initial polls I saw showed RFK to have more of an 'Independent' voter mix. It looked like if he dropped out his supporters were 1% D and 3% R of their totals-- but less than 10% of them said they did not know who they would vote for if RFK dropped out.
Now that he has dropped out it will be interesting to see which direction they go.

I have to wonder how many of his voters are actually motivated enough to cast their vote? He was never a candidate in serious contention. I could imagine a lot of his “supporters” are people who aren’t really engaged in the political process. They may support him and his ideas in an abstract way, but that’s easy. But are they the type of people who will actually take the time and make the effort to go stand in line to cast their vote? Let’s face it there are people who bought Hugo automobiles!

Agreed.
Apathy will be a factor from his base.
i feel MAGA will vote fervently.
Harris gets out many women and blacks.
again, it all comes back to those people in the middle

The election outcome has already been determined just like Superbowl LIX has already been. If you're not putting big money bets on Cacklin Kamala then there's no hope for you. Take off the blinders and take advantage of this free gift.

@Crashdavis565
I think Alot of RFK voters either wont vote or vote for Kamala
cause they feel he sold his soul by dropping out and endorsing
trump. He also went to Kamala as well which was rebuffed.
Plus his family came straight out against him after as well.

@GeoDawg
Better to vote for a man who can't even focus for 2 mins on the people
who he claims he cares about? Instead he rather attack people during
his rallies and speeches rather then actually focus on what matters.
Good thing for us Kamala supporters is he will never focus and keep
going against His peoples wishes and opening his mouth.
Can't wait til the debate where she eviscerates him like she did
