Byrne started off by disagreeing vehemently with recent comments by talk show host Glenn Beck, a bitter foe of Republican nominee Donald Trump. “If the consequence of standing against Trump and for principles is indeed the election of Hillary Clinton, so be it,” Beck said in a Facebook post Saturday. “At least it is a moral, ethical choice.”
“Voting for Hillary Clinton is, to me, a complete mistake,” Byrne said, noting that after eight years of guarding the Clintons he came to realize a truth about Hillary Clinton.
” … the Hillary Clinton I know is a complete pathological liar,” he said.
“Really, if you’re honest with yourself and you pay attention to some of the politics that goes on, you’ve seen this yourself,” said Byrne. “She never displays any kind of leadership.”
However, he said, there was one area where she was in charge — attacking women who accused Bill Clinton of sexual misconduct.
“When a woman would surface and accuse him of doing something wrong, she was in charge of, they call it ‘person shaming.’ They would berate these women,” Byrne said. “How is it that when a woman accuses Bill Clinton — they used this term one time; it drove me crazy: ‘That’s what you get when you drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park.’ Well, what’s at the other end of that string? The other end of that string is Bill Clinton. Why does he get a pass and all these women get person-shamed, and he gets away with it every time. It’s incredible.”
