Actually you are quite wrong with your analysis..as detailed as it was.

This is why they failed (they were the last to hold out btw)

Look at their leverage..leverage works nicely when margins can support it, but put fuel costs where they are and those margins shrink, the whole cost structure fails and they go under.

Same thing goes for most other carriers..high fuel costs combined with HIGH leverage is the culprit and is why most all the carriers are struggling.

DAL, LUV, JBLU, LCC they are all hugging multi year lows because of the high cost of fuel and that their hedges cannot hold forever.

Blame the unions, that is always the 5 second evaluation conclusion.

 A private company making a contract with union that it cannot reasonably expect to honor in a time of economic downturns has itself to blame and not the private sector union.  AA mismanaged in many ways but was probably the least mismanaged of the old breed which is why they held out.
I have a couple AA pilots as friends/patients that took their lump sum retirements rather than trust the pension as they all knew the United guys who got 25% or so on the dollar when that airline closed.  Turns out they were correct.

Airline industry has rxcess high fixed costs and competition in weak markets.  Ticket prices are too low to allow much profit.  Donald Trump once said that he wouldn't know  how to make a profit in airlines.  Although unions agreed to big paycuts in the past, savings are still insufficient.  Pilots and mechanics deserve high wages but low skill labour is overpaid.   Bankruptcy protection may help airlines to reduce variable cost of labour by re-negotiating union contracts.

Woop , I dont know how old you are but my guess is probably around 15 .............So ill save you years of hardship by sharing this simple advice for you.

In life, if you act like an A-Hole you should expect to be treated like an A - Hole.

Try cleaning up your act and then maybe the " piling on " will dissapear.

The managers at AA took millions in bonuses between 2003-2011 and the employees gave back Billions in salary and benifits over that time.How much do you want to bet they come out of the other side of bankruptcy and go on at a smaller scale and the stockholders and bondholders lose almost everything.It just another case of americans getting it every orifice by Wall Street and yet the idiot masses are still blaming labor....
