Goose, before this thread gets way out of hand, slow down a little. Immediate capital punishment may be acceptable because irrefutable video evidence is available. I won’t argue the point under the circumstances even though I am opposed to capital punishment in general.
I don’t have a problem with interrogation of family members either; we need to know what they knew and when they knew it.
Destroying families and bulldozing houses is another matter. This is the USA, not Israel or Saudi Arabia. We hold ourselves to a higher standard, and God forbid the day when we don’t.
If this latest tragedy were the mass killing of his fellow high school students by an insane Lilly-white American teenager from a nice Lilly-white suburban home, and his parents were shown devastated and weeping over the atrocity, would you suggest the same?
