Biden's handlers are suing states for enforcing illegal immigration laws. .....next in line is Oklahoma. They won't secure our country or remove illegals, so now individual states have to do it........ & the dems don't like it. I've never seen such an inept, anti-American administration in my life.

Historically, supreme court has ruled in favor of federal government on international matters because it would be chaos if every state has its own immigration laws. Local police isn't trained as immigration officials. Immigration is not invasion. US doesn't have a open border policy as most migrants are turned away at one of the most secure borders in the world. According to Cato institute, Biden administration has deported a higher percentage of migrants than under Trump who reduced legal immigration but failed to reduce illegal immigration. Resulting in huge back log of asylum claims for Biden administration to process. Most illegal migrants enter US legally but overstay their temporary visas.

Federal law doesn't require cities to help federal officials. They aren't prevented from deporting immigrants in sanctuary cities. New York sanctuary policy is about community safety to encourage immigrants to access police protection without fear of deportation.

Besides, US already has among the strictest border controls in the world. States can call in national guard for self defense if invaded. However immigration is not invasion under the law.
