This is what Bidens America and democratic cities look like. Anyone wonder why businesses are not reopening and are shutting down at record paces?
Hey Fubah...what say you?

Oh, my bad. Did Trump run SF and other democrat cities? Seems to be a trend in democratic cities at the moment. Defund police and crime rises. Who would have thought?!
I saw this same shit happen during Obama as well. Maybe it's not the President. Maybe it's just the city leaders.

Get you panties out of your twat, I wasn't blaming Trump. And yes, this was going on under Obama, Bush, etc and has nothing to do with President. Has nothing to do with defunding police either. At least not in SF. The Rhodes Scholars that run that city just don't believe in prosecuting "petty" crime or cleaning up the city. Their strategy was also to contain it in the TL, SoMa, etc but it has spread. It's so funny how guys like you get all huffy puffy and believe in the illusion of partisan politics.

SF is a shit hole and will continue to be a literal shit hole. That's why big business is leaving and a lot of tech workers have left the city and state. SF doesn't punish crime so crime will rise. SF wonders why business is leaving, this video is a microcosm of why. IT'S ONLY GETTING WORSE! SF thinks they can contain it but they are mistaken. You can walk 10 blocks on any given day and find at least 1 broken window or 3 shits.
Do you see crime like this in red states and cities? Honest question.

No, because all their criminals move to San Francisco. I mean, would you rather be a homeless meth addict in SF or Fargo, North Dakota?
Look, i'm not defending the leadership of SF, or California et al. I have very strong feelings about the governing of that city, and that state. And those feelings are all negative. All of what was said in this post is 100% correct, with exception to the notion that it would just miraculously disappear under Republican leadership. I would love to see a Republican mayor in SF. I would love to see Republican governor in California but the problems of that city, and that state, are very nuanced and many of them will exist regardless of who is in charge. That is all I am saying. People on the internet make comments of things based on what they read on Facebook or Twatter. All my commentary, on any city or state, is always based on personal experience. SF is a complicated city. It's densely populated, incredibly expensive, and has a wealth gap comparable to feudal Japan. It is a beacon for dregs if society though. Temperate climate and social resources. What, do you think all the criminals in SF are home grown? How would a Republican ran city look if all the worst of the country flocked there year after year for the last 60 years like they have to places like SF and LA. California lures the best the country has to offer, great and industrious minds, and also the worst. The drug addicts. The mentally ill. This will always be the case.

If these cities were stocks I would be long Miami and short San Francisco
Massive inflow of business to Miami.

Are you trying to act like Miami doesn't have crime? I see you left out murder rate. Miami had like 50% more homicides than SF last year. SF has twice the population. If you expand that to include the entire Miami-Dade metro vs the SF metro, it gets even worse. Miami is crime stricken. Just as bad as any Democratic ran big city.
@BigGame90
And further more, there are plenty of crime stricken red cities and states. They are just small and you don't hear about them on Twitter. Cities completely decimated by generational drug addiction and poverty. This is what middle America, the Rust Belt, parts of the deep south looks like. Flyover country that nobody talks about. Do Republicans not care for these people? For the record, I am not defending Democrats. I would love a Republican mayor in SF and a Republican governor in Sac. I would love a Republican governor in Salem. I am split between two states, and two Democratic governors who I feel both suck. All I am saying is this shit is a lot more complicated than a social media post. For example, if you lock up all petty criminals, who is paying to feed and house them? Us. What's happens when jails become overrun with petty criminals? Just build more? It's complicated and Democrats clearly don't have the answers but I don't think Republicans do either.

No doubt. San Francisco and California suck. I don't want that to get lost in the weeds. The point is you came up with one Republican led major city and it has plenty of crime.

Miami was the murder capital of the US routinely racking up 300+ murders per year in the 80’s.
Democrats controlled Miami from 1967-2009
It takes time to recover.
The city did not report a homicide from Feb. 17 to April 12, its longest streak in 63 years.

...because everyone was locked down from Covid. It still ended with 50% more homicides than SF, a city with twice the population. If you expand to encompass the metro area, SF's crime rates go down. Miami-Dade's go up. The homicide rate in Miami has only gone down because Mexican's now control the cocaine trade and Miami isn't the port if entry it used to be. This has nothing to do with the politics if the city. Not only that but murder rates of pretty much every major city are down compared to the 80's and 90's. The 80's and 90's were a bad time for the entire country.

I mean, you say it was ran by democrats until 2009? Give me a comparison of, say, 1986 and 2006. Without looking it up myself I can guarantee a democrat could use those numbers to say, "See, democrats cleaned up Miami!" And are crimes going up in Miami like they are in most major cities, post covid? Is this happening under republican control? What are they doing wrong? Is it policy based? Florida wasn't even locked down that severely. What's their excuse?

@I_Need_A_Detox
We could do this all day but the fact is we believe the same things about the democratic party, so it would just be counterproductive.
@BigGame90
You're not wrong about SF, California, or the democrats. The issues are just much more complex, much more nuanced than that is all.

I was more so trying to poke Fubah because all he does is spew hate against the right with his shit posts. This was a little jab back at him. As you can see, he started a new thread about an old thread but just pumped up the numbers to make it look worse. He loves to bring his posts to the top when something goes against his leftist BS views.
I agree we can not lock up everyone on the tax payers dollar. But if cities allow petty crime to continue without punishment then it will only get worse before it gets better. Petty crime gets paid for by tax payers, increased insurance, closure of business, lower property values, less community involvement, and overall a weakening sense of community. This video is part of the roof problem with the ideology of SF and democrats for that matter. Just allow this little crime so we can prevent people from being locked up. Well, regular citizens pay the price and the community pays the price.
I think we should make a new reality TV show. Instead of locking people in prison, send them to an island, dump some food every so often and lets see what happens. Kind of like how AZ has tent city. Maybe that will help stop crime.
