Biden gun tax

 Anyone look at this yet? SJ is proposing a $200 tax on any weapon (& the magazine!) with a magazine capacity larger than 10 rounds..........even if you already own it. Yep, it looks like he has plans to alter the National Firearms Act, in which those who own guns considered to be "assault weapons" (I know, I know......tell him, not me) would have two options: Sell your guns back in a voluntary buy-back program, or register them under the NFA & pay the tax.

 As of now, this is just one of his hair-brained ideas, but if you're a gun owner you might wanna keep an eye on it. I have two guns that fall in this category that were purchased from a sporting goods outfit within the L10 years. I consider them registered.

 LOL, then you're an interested bystander. One has to pay attention to this proposal, which looks more like a cash-grab than a gun-control measure. It'll be interesting to see what happens to ammo when it becomes readily available again. 

The Leftists have already corrupted the Elections/voting so they need to muzzle/catalog the Jeffersonian Solution to Tyrants.

The 2nd amendment and a 10-shot magazine/semi-automatic don't have a damn thing to do with Hunting and was never intended to do with Hunting.

I made a pledge to myself years ago never to raise a gun again in anger. Protection yes but not anger.

I don't hunt but go to the range about twice a year. 

I don't believe most people need assault type weapons but believe you have a right to do so. Keep them locked up & hope you never need to use them.

 We're on the same page. I probably don't "need" an AR15 but do own one, along with a couple 9mm's. I live in a rural area with little LE presence, so it's all about personal protection. I hope I NEVER have to aim a gun at another person, but it all comes down to the "would rather have it & not need it" adage. In the meantime, I'd rather not have to pay extra because I'm a law abiding citizen. 

 Stu may be right.........much ado about nothing. But the need for politicians to "look" like they're doing something generally costs us money.

you hit the nail on  the head but what is the real reason for this? If it's to reduce WMD it won't work bc the people with evil on their mind already have these guns and won't register them or they buy them from other criminals.

  It's just another cash grab, plain & simple. It won't get guns out of the hands of criminals, but to the uneducated it LOOKS like an attempt at curbing crime associated with guns.
