Knowing that NO PRESIDENT EVER has lost Ohio and won the Presidency, Trump made a strong offer to Katich, to give him overarching power as VP. Ohio will have to be won w/o Kasich, and using a neighboring state governor in Indiana's Pence.
We see that Trump's campaign "gets it," that Ohio is everything. It cost Kerry in 04 vs Bush.
Trump NEEDS: #1 Ohio
and of course Indiana
Election is yet another Harvard Law School and Wall Street elitist (See Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary, all the way back to JFK) who promise "togetherness and "inclusiveness" . Considered a hawk and pro Wall Street, she promises a "stable leadership" to keep business as usual in Washington. Average speaking ability and markedly uncomfortable with impromptu questioning, she has done only one press conference and screens journalists from controversial topics.
vs TRUMP, an outsider and celebrity populist who promises greater security (condemned by antagonists and detractors as being INTOLERANT or even "racist"), comfortable on any stage for years, he is confident in being impromptu and unpredictable in his speeches and decision making. He attacks relentlessly and has been successful in making labels stick to his opponents, and although unseasoned as a politician, his campaign staffers are seasoned and strategize surprisingly well with limited staff and budget. They get it, that in order to win as a republican in a national election, you need to put the negative on quickly and never let up.
OHIO is extremely important and is the ONLY path to victory for either candidate.
