The state of Washington has built one max facility in the L35 years despite it's population tripling in that time. The total occupancy for all max facilities combined is around 10K for a state of about 8 million. Seattle/King County has been releasing criminals into public because "locking them up during covid is inhumane"........guess the victims of their crimes don't matter. Now, if the libs in the state legislature get their way, Gary Ridgeway (Green River murderer) may be up for parole...........yep, they wanna introduce a bill to allow those with life sentences get out, & a guy that killed 50 women may get out.
Going soft on criminals has led to......yep, you guessed it.....MORE CRIMINALS! If there's no real penalty for doing the crime, what will stop them?
It's sickening. Seattle has turned into an absolute dump.......& it's spreading. They allowed homeless to camp out on city & state lands. Now that the problem is so bad, Gov. Dimslee (D-WA) wants to spend $800 million try to house them all.
