just from what I've seen that's been released, you have a police officer restraining people trying to control a situation. the officers (he has two other officers with him from what I can see) are obviously overmatched as they are they are far outnumbered and some kids are taking advantage of this and are trying to flee the scene and disobeying police orders (liberals have a hard time comprehending this fact as it is not a multiple choice situation). then you have the hood rat, walk into the scene (there are others who have already complied with police orders sitting on the ground) and start running her mouth. then she gets slammed. as she gets slammed, two hippos rush towards the officer (another no-no) and two G's square up on the officer (another no-no). then the officer pulls out his gun on the two G's before they start to flee and the two other officers give chase (another no-no).
the problem I have (other than the defiance mentioned up top), is this liberal apologist Chris Hayes excusing these kids' behavior, saying 'they're just kids', and enabled his guest to continue the anti police rhetoric.
what the fuk do these people not get about obeying police? you cannot get confrontational with police. you cannot 'put up your set' on a police officer. you cannot flee from the police. and if you continue to make excuses for this behavior instead of raising your expectation as to how these interactions should occur, you will continue to give any hoodlum (white, brown or black) the idea that following police orders is a multiple choice proposition.
Now I know the liberal regulars will find a news story about police brutality to justify their opinion that the police are abusive with their authority. I know there's some bad police officers out there who should not be carrying a badge, but for the most part, they do their work in a professional manner.
the liberal media has created this narrative that all policemen are abusers, and now when a cop is doing his/her job, people feel as if they have the right to interfere and obstruct. nice job Libs!!!

It's finally reached the point that our general society can't obey a police officers orders, especially the younger people. People nowadays have been so convinced that their special and I'll stand up for my rights, blah, blah, blah. Police are called when there's a problem, they're their to keep the peace. Morons that can't obey a police officers orders are on their own. Mommy and Daddy (if they're lucky to have both) have failed them. Cops are not there to play and are getting tired of being abused in the media and by the bad guy. BEWARE when a cop orders you to do something - DO IT and you won't get a knee in your back...

I agree mostly with the OP with the following exception...and I could be wrong. I don't see why the girl needed to be proned and cuffed. It appeared that she was harmless while sitting on her derriere and yelling.
At first I was appalled when he pulled his gun out, but later realized that was likely a reaction to being approached somewhat hostaly by those two young men. In the street, being approached like that could be much worse for cops.
I do think the cop overreacted a bit but not enough to justify severe outcry.
Being a cop these days is becoming much more difficult and much more thankless. Not a good combination in my view.

Somewhere along the line, and I'm not exactly positive when, Police lost the respect of the Citizens. It is supposed to be "Serve and Protect". Citizens, especially unarmed teenagers, should not be forced to cower in fear of their Police Force. It's wrong. Just wrong.

The lawyer lady put things in better perspective for me describing the two previous suicide calls. They are supposed to be able to react better regardless of previous duties. I'm sure every cop has their good days and bad days.
It's harder to protect and serve when disrespect is at an all time high. Disrespect for cops is a gateway to being handled roughly.
Which came first the disrespect or the laying on of hands?
The girl was treated too roughly no doubt but I think her indemnification isn't significant.

I wonder if any of you analyzed Cliven Bundy's armed confrontation with the government's officers as much as this pool situation.
I know you didn't. And it's clear why. Carry on with the neanderthalic discussion in a subset of a forum on a sports betting website. My god the fools in here.

It must be nice living as an old Caucasian male with orgasmic visions of vigilantism. No repercussions for your ilk.

They are well compensated police officers and servants to the citizenry who know exactly what they are getting into when they assume their responsibilities.
Quit trying to make them the victims here.

You cant analyze every incident the same. Only a true fool would do so.
Cops have a tough job and they are not compensated well enough for the shlt they have to deal with in some places. Everybody has bad days we all make mistakes from time to time...hell the credible hulk is like 0 for the last 2 or 3 weeks.
Nobody got hurt badly and cop is still getting death threats. This isn't even a racially motivated case.
Don't disrespect cops and you have a really good chance of getting respect back at you.
