Gibraltar has 6 weeks of no cases before a surge.  According to Reuters, covid infections are currently at 17% of January peak and falling.  Of course, cases don't tell the whole story.  Vaccination has been highly effective in reducing serious illness.  99% of deaths and hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated.

U should familiarize yourself with dividing by numbers close to zero

If Vermont had one new case per day and it went up to 5 new cases per day, that is still far, far better than having 300 new cases per day... Diving by 1 case is the key here

Jimrockford22 is right.  Percentage data can be misinterpreted without considering context.  Besides, infections don't tell the whole story.  If every state has Vermont's high vaccination rate, US would be in great shape because of few hospitalizations and deaths. 

There is not interpretation of data needed.  Very luckily, for you guys it has already been interpreted.

I am not sure how much dividing you need to do if you can read a chart and see the numbers that are already written down for you to look at? 

On April 4th -- 7-day average of 190 and 244 new cases.

On July 5th -- 7-day average of 2 and 0 new cases.

On August 13th -- 7-day average of 103 and 151 new cases.

The chart clearly shows a steady incline. 

No dividing is necessary, just decent eyesight.

While the trump-vaccine was "hoped" to protect against infections too, it's main goal is to protect against death and/or severe illness, and never reported to be 100% effective -- only in the 91% - 95% range

It does that.

Of course the educated FULLY UNDERSTAND the trump-vaccines were developed last summer against the ORIGINAL STRAIN of covid -- when there was no DELTA here.  Luckily the trump-vacccines still appear to provide very good protection against death and severe illness from the mutation.

They key stats are deaths and hospitalizations.  ALWAYS.   Not case numbers per se.

As thirdperson has correctly pointed out a few times, when 100% of any given community (or any high percentage rate!!) has received full doses of the trump-vaccines (against original covid strain) then *OBVIOUSLY* the breakthrough infections (cases) will come from among the vaccinated!  The trump-vaccines are designed to protect against DEATH. That is the important measure, even though the vaccines were NOT developed against this DELTA mutation.

Soon however, further mutations could render the current trump-vaccines almost useless and new vaccines will be required.

Then they flip it and say "trump vaccine" not made for Delta. Of course it wasn't, that's the point!!! Delta showed up in U.S. in May.

Biden did NOTHING to prevent Delta from reaching the U.S.

Michigan last 30 days 28.1% of hospitalizations are from the 50% vaccinated, 15.4% of deaths from the 50% who are vaccinated. Vaccines help, THEY DO NOT PREVENT!!! But Joe said; "Get the vaccine and you will not get COVID."

Travel restrictions, etc. Instead, for political gain, they open the southern border where people from several continents have crossed.

Illinois reported 714 breakthrough hospitalizations and 180 deaths, representing 2.58 percent of COVID-19 deaths since data collection began in January.

There is that "January" again!! 

By April 1st Illinois was 16.9% vaccinated. By April 30th there 6318 deaths, from May 1 to present 2110 deaths. 

Illinois now 50.69% vaxed.  

Aug 19th;

State health officials reported 45 more COVID-19 deaths Wednesday, the most in a single day since mid-May.

Additionally, new Illinois data on breakthrough hospitalizations and deaths shows 34 of the 134 COVID-19 deaths over the past week were fully vaccinated individuals, or more than 25% of those who died from the virus.

Blame Trump for not doing more.  Under Biden administration,  prevention of hundreds of thousands of covid deaths and millions of hospitalizations according to study from Yale university and Commonwealth fund.  Mask requirements, travel restrictions and other public health measures implemented. Myth is that closing border and travel restrictions keep virus out.  Travel restrictions on India and other countries only temporarily slow virus spread.

Closing border is overrated when local virus transmission is widespread.  Thus far, vaccination has proven to be the most reliable way to fight the pandemic.  51% vaccination rate is too low.  Vaccinated people are far less likely to be infected or to infect others.  Vast majority of cases, hospitalizations and deaths still occur among the unvaccinated.

They also said the "wild" fires in CA are due to climate change. Turns out, it's just arsonists. Politicians will use any excuse to push a narrative. Meanwhile, CA doesn't do enough to log, or clean the forests of brush and dead trees (maybe because the left really does want CA to burn so they can use fires as an excuse to push climate change? EVIL).
