I live in Indianapolis...I stay out of the political opinions and stuff...I just post here to bet on politics.
But Trump is going to be here at a rally, and my wife and I are going to make a date of it. Lunch, drinks, then a trump rally...lol.
For the most part, we disagree with some things he says, but we both agree that he is probably good for the political system in that he isn't a career politician, and his success shows that there is a big part of the population sick of the political system.
I have no idea what to expect tomorrow...we are there to spectate, and not to support or protest...
Just wondering if anyone in here has been to a Trump rally and has any suggestions as to what to see, or if anyone has any requests as to what I should report back here. If someone wonders about something particular about the rally, maybe I can answer it...
I don't want any crazy political opinions in this thread, but if I can provide any funny or unique stories for someone that's interested let me know what I can provide based on my experience tomorrow.
I'll let everyone know what it's like tomorrow evening!

Just let us know how it goes. It's interesting to see perspectives from supporters as well as non-supporters. Would be great to hear a real life trump supporter experience rather than the usual BS and fabrication we get in this forum.

Well it's like a union ralley security is right. You will see a sense of what a open rally with a whole theater of protesters screaming take your hate out of our state. And then security escorting them out as the crowd chants Trump Trump trump it's difficult but entertainment value is must see...good luck.

It was pretty lame, honestly. Got there an hour early, and just stood around. There were some protesters outside, but they were pretty lame too. He came out and talked, a couple protesters stood up, but it was hilarious how easily the protesters gave up. One time a guy stood up and yelled something, and Trump said, "Get him out of here", and the dude just turned around a walked out on his own. Trump then said, "You have the worse protesters ever here. They give up so easily", and he was right.
The crowd obviously loved him, but it wasn't over the top like I had expected. But that's Indiana for ya. We somehow even make a Donald Trump rally seem boring.
I'm not a Donald Trump guy, but he is a fantastic speaker. Wasn't reading anything, interacting with the crowd, etc.
I did chuckle to myself because when he talked about really basic things like a big wall, or Lyin Ted, the crowd was laughing, and cheering. But when he got to serious and complex things like trade deficits with China and currency manipulation, you could look around and see how people had no idea what he was talking about. And I thought he could feel that, so he went back to the basic stuff. He said a couple things about Bernie and Hillary, but nothing crazy.
My wife and I went outside, and stood by the protesters, and walked around a little bit and then left.
Overall, I was hoping to see a crazy event with lots of chaos and really crazy characters, but there really wasn't much. I guess if you're a Trump person it was a great rally, but for people like me and my wife we went to see a spectacle, and were pretty disappointed. Oh well...

Yeah trump seems pretty lame beyond the lyin Ted and the wall talking points.
Interesting observations about trump supporters. I think the trump mania is probably a combination of that you have brought up with him being a great speaker and how trump supporters think to follow him.

If, you and your wife were there for a little excitement.. why didn't you two start acting crazy and protesting what Trump was saying?Getting thrown out could have been a fun thing..
If I had had a few drinks before we got there I might have thought about it...lol
