If Rush and Ron Paul Had a Debate, Who Would Win ?

Why, the Showman of course.  He knows all the tricks of the spoken word.

 

Dr Paul isn't a showman.  Actually, he's a bit of a "slow man." Not slow mentally, just the opposite.

 

But not that great with the spoken word. Not given much to the catchy phrase, the impressive anecdote, the ringing statement.

 

A quiet man, basically. Not a rabble rouser.  Not one who will lead us on the barricades.

 

That's one of his charms.  He makes us feel better because he's not a typical politiician.

 

Still, in dark times I wish he was more of a showman like Limbaugh, more of a charmer like Reagan.

 

A bit more of a demogogue.

 

If he were, he could perhaps not win the presidency on a 3rd party ticket, but he could create something strong enough to replace an all but dead GOP and be a true power-broker. Rather than just making 2 minute speeches  on the floor of the House (intersting as those are).

Rush is a blowhole who says anything to get people to listen. He is a panderer, not an intellectual. No one can take him seriously.

 

Ron Paul is actually a respectable politician. And a smart man.
