Is the politics forum simply a self imposed penalty box?

I was clicking through this site and found this politics forum...

I think that this politics forum is genius what ever mod created this...

It took the crap out of general discussion and made it fun again...  It is like it is normal again and people are able to enjoy themselves...

But if you look at this forum it is the same basic people, mainly APK (occasionally a few others) putting anti-Obama threads up and with some of the other similarly conservative Rush/Hannity/Oreily/Fox News oriented posters comment on it and there is no banning or argument because  there is no debate...

But in the end this really rounds up and contains some of the real right wing wackos on covers  (APK, not you)...  It is like a self imposed penalty box as if this gambling website gives two shits about right wing political rantings...

95% of people on here are into gambling as the reason why they are here, so this has allowed covers.com to box the wackos with out even needing to monitor them because they box themselves...

how has the Messiah made your life better? got a better job? able to cram down your mortgage at the expense of taxpayers? do you own an investment bank that was able to double dip in TARP funds to rip off taxpayers?

Prior to the recent election the left was much more visible here (and elsewhere). The voices of "hope" and "change" blathered on and on about how great eveything was going to be.
 
Currently the results of their support are becoming more and more glaring. Did you expect to find lots of people that would still admit they voted for this clown? Folks proud that they helped elect an empty head and posse of intellectual children to play grown up in the real world? Please.
 
Was the NFL forum full of Dolphin backers on Tuesday?

They are probably unemployed now with no computer access....  and no way to "thank" their new leader.

Messiah?  Don't you see that I view Obama as the complete opposite?  I think you are getting things wrong here...
 
So much politically spun BS that it should all be contained here and not leak out into the other parts of the forum...
 
I do not take politics serious on a sports betting website...  My post was to be funny and entertaining and get a good laugh,  thats all..
 
To think that any of that post was serious or supposed to make sense is stupid...  If anything I would laugh at anyoen that takes politics serious on this entertaining, sports betting website...

that was the whole point of this thread and the other one...  asking people to drop their politics  and take to a political forum and leave covers... 
 
But this idea of a self contained box for the rants, the president bashing, the liberal wackos, the conservative cry babies, and the out of reality socialists is genius...
 
Perhaps it is a challenge to drop the politics and the avatars trying to parade your political beliefs in an inapproprate place and come and talk sports, gambling and life with out having some type of political spin to it...
 
APK does a good job of it on occasion, and like any impulsive and compulsive poster often can't help himself to put a spin on it...

I really could care less about a sub forum after thought on sportsbetting website...  I just wonder why the political people don't just take it some where else that it appropriate to politics or leave it out...

I actually don't have to care because the politics forum does it job with creating a self containment area...

It is funny that people see a different view as adversarial... I mean no disrespect in a serious manner...

So no need to take it seriously

This is a sportsbetting website, not real life...

covers is a sports betting community, the subforums are for like-minded people(sports bettors) to discuss other aspects of their non sporting life
 
it is the gambling that brings us together, a common bond
 
your question is not adversarial, just inconsistent
 
why would the tv forum people not take it to a diff place?
why is their a general discuss forum?
what about food and fit? music?
 
should all these people take it to a diff place because they like to discuss things non sports related?

i would rather listen and talk politics to a mikael, disco or even a don juan because i know immediately we share a common ground in the gambling arena
