Judge: OK to liquidate Alex Jones’ assets to pay victims

A federal judge in Houston on Friday approved a change to conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' bankruptcy case, allowing him to begin a fire sale of his property to begin paying legal debts to the families of mass shooting victims.

Jones this week had taken to his Infowars radio show and web platforms and said it was on the brink of being shut down. Last week, Jones’ lawyers moved to change his bankruptcy case from Chapter 11, which allows an entity to reorganize itself, to Chapter 7, a liquidation.

United States Bankruptcy Judge Christopher M. López was appointed to the United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Texas, effective August 14, 2019. Judge López was sworn in by United States Circuit Judge Gregg Costa on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

@Zeus4par&#xA; Probably not really necessary to insult that far especially when you are interacting with other people.&#xA;That said, he was found responsible and should not be able to fake hide behind BK when the entire universe knows he is full of crap about not having assets. His decision not to raise a defense against the case was a curious one. It’s like he always banked on hiding some assets while declaring bankruptcy.

Today’s decision deprives him of misusing bankruptcy proceedings to avoid having to pay the Sandy Hook families the massive judgment he owes them. new_devil
