Interesting to examine where the polls are showing the swing states are leaning today. Keep in mind that polls can and do change as November approaches. An excellent resource to watch is: 270towin dot com.
Here are the states which trump won in 2016 which are clearly 'swing states' now. Shows the mean average result of MULTIPLE-polling data, with electoral votes up for grabs in parentheses. I will conceed Texas (38) to trump even though he leads only by +1 pct. pt.
Biden needs only to win any 3 of these 9 swing states, *OR* win just two if one of them is Florida, and the DEMS have the WH again. Also, note that there are NO Democrat states in serious play, while the Republicans are defending 9 and must win almost all of them again!
+1 trump, Iowa (6)
+1 trump, Georgia (16)
+2 Biden, OHIO (18)
+3 Biden, Arizona (11)
+3 Biden, N.Carolina (15)
+5 Biden, Florida (29)
+6 Biden, Pennsylvania (20)
+7 Biden, Wisconsin (10)
+8 Biden, Michigan (16)

PS. All campaigns, including trump's, *RELY* on polling information all year round. It helps any campaign identify key areas for improvement in their messaging, ads, and narratives as they move forward. Much like football teams make adjustments at halftime based on what they learned in the first half. This is the important information polls can provide. To help campaigns craft a better second half and hopefully effect positive change in their favor. trump's team is clearly down 14-0 at halftime but this game is far from over!

Absolutely! trump is leading handily in 14 states! Fifteen if we include TEXAS, where it is a virtual draw now and has see-sawed back & forth the past 2 months.
Of course, all the rest are trending Biden and by significant margins, including 7 of 9 swing states - where Biden only needs to win 3 (or just 2 if one of them is Florida)

Small changes here June 26 so far, all negative for trump.... as Florida is up another point to +6 Biden, and instead of trump holding a +1 pt edge in both Texas and Georgia, today those states are all tied once again.
