Read the article on ESPN then tell me where any Floridian Policy “claims that slavery had personal benefits for the enslaved”
just pure uneducated stupidity yet again glorified by the amazing internet

For everyone else, this is what Nance posted on social media..
"So the @OrlandoMagic who have a majority black roster, a black head coach, and a black GM decided it was a good idea to support a man that claims that slavery had personal benefits for the enslaved?"
DeSantis did indeed make this comment & has tried to walk it back. His policy of taking away key academic independence especially in the curriculum decision making process from schools has resulted in over 1,000 teachers/professors leaving the University of Florida alone. His policy of removing books from libraries that offer different looks at our culture & the differences in people has also stopped students from coming to Florida for their higher education.
His policy of flying illegal immigrants to other states is an embarrassment & can be viewed as kidnapping. Meanwhile, we don't have people to harvest our farms & his decision is hurting the farming industry as well as new home construction.
His abortion policy directly impacts lower income residents by outlawing abortions after 6 weeks.
He has been an absentee Governor for our state & our state is better off as he makes a fool of himself traveling across the country.
BTW...the owner of the Orlando Magic, who approved the donation, is the husband of former Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos.
phil...This should better educate you on the state of Florida.
