What Ron Paul supporters don't seem to understand is that the people who make up the majority of the Republican base do not like Paul and will never vote for him en mass.
Much of Paul's "reducing the size and scope of the government" is just him handing over everything as the responsibility of the individual states. In my opinion, it is very important to have a national, federally set standard for a good many things, including education, environment, and drug policy. It makes no sense to me to have 50 different sets of rules for different places in the same country. Furthermore, his portrayal of the Fed as evil money-printing monsters and his desire to return to the gold standard I find to be laughable.
Nonetheless this is an absolute fucking disgrace. As much as I bash RP... this is despicable. Anyone thinking of voting for Romney has lost their mind..
The Republican National Committee is not transparent and does not have integrity. They stole votes. They stole delegates. They refused to send busses for our delegates. It's a totalitarian process. This is not democracy. It's a really sad day for us. I've worked for Republican candidates since I was 16. We believed the Republican Party had more integrity. Boy, did they prove us wrong."
