These numbers are going to be tough to turn around:
Just a third of Americans believe the country is headed in the right
direction; less than four in 10 approve of Obama’s handling of the U.S.
economy; and nearly 70 percent think the economy will get worse or stay
the same in the next year. ... Only 37 percent approve of the president’s handling of the economy, while 58 percent disapprove. ---
Of course some of us believe the crumbling of the economy is a feature of the Obama Presidency, not a bug.

What ever happened to Sarasota Slim and what did you do with him?
You are obviously not RicahrdA (brain damaged) or Woop (immature) because you can actually hold a coherent conversation and you actually can keep up a decent dialog...
5FF is too much of a lying SAF who keeps getting exposed... So if you are 5FF... Google knows
Only Slim possessed the intelligence on your level... and it was his style to utilized alot of italics... you also come off cleverly condescending like he did...
Either way, keep up your good work bickering with Dems/Liberals... Give em hell...

the misery index is high these days. who makes anything anymore? who is getting a good job from the want ads or monster? all i get is sad stories these days from so many.
this garbage is only partly the presidents fault but i firmly believe fiscal conservancy is the new mantra from people after the coke binge from 97-07. with that being the newer belief system, anyone perceived as non attentive to the issue will poll lower. the president comes off as acknowledging the issue yet still wanting to spend his way out of it.
the gop , alternatively wants to sucker us in to letting the fortune 500 and forbes 500 benevolently restore order once their promethian shackles are lifted.
just made the word promethian up(of and pertaining to promethius), if i was W, that shit would be in wikipedia right now.

dl36, I am honestly not an alias. I joined this forum a while back and just never posted that much. I did not even know there was a politics forum on here until a few months ago.
Appreciate the Give em hell attitude.

drJ, while I'm not real big on conspiracy theories, I am really starting to believe that there is some sort of market manipulation taking place with the stock market.
On top of that, America seems to have adopted the unsustainable policies of: 1. Everyone should go to college (to be a "manager" I guess) 2. Stop building things, outsource for cheap consumer items. 3. Build up a consumer/service based economy (Yeah, we can all be managers at the dry cleaners!)
I don't care which party nominates a politician who will:
1. Reduce corporate taxes, regulation 2. Reduce environmental regulation 3. Encourage real domestic energy production -drilling for oil, new nuclear plants, etc. 4. Yes, do some union busting. There is a reason Toyota has big factories down south and Chevy has them in Mexico.
I'd vote for someone running on that platform.

$2 trillion sitting in the mattresses of Corp. America.
I believe they will fill those mattresses to the $4 trillion level before hiring anyone.
Obama's fault.
You have the right/ability to start your company and get wealthy too. Isn't this a great country?
Those corps just in essence subcontracted workers to do a job for them...those people accepted the contract....did the work...then after they see how much the company profited off of them all of the sudden decide they got screwed...When they accepted the offer they didn't feel that way

I just saw espalande coat tailing you on some threads and he is known for being the biggest "suck up" to the Aliases on this site...
perhaps I am mistaken, but I think most people who have been here would agree that you smell/act/walk like one of the Aliases on this site... but at least I might believe you... are not as bad as balph....
you have the intelligence and information to stand with drJ, Rick and other respected posters on this site and not just spouting the mindless left/right "noise" that you typically see from the aliases...
keep up the good effort and contributions

some of this may well be this administrations fault. you may be being comical or you may be serious . i do know that the biggest reason for sitting on capital or using it to acquire compnaies instead of investing in our country is uncertainty about taxes and health care laws in the future. i also know that a 2 trillion business injection/investment would be huge for our country.

Agreed...you can lay some blame on the admin....business certainly doesn't like uncertainty and there is heaps of that with health care and tax questions hanging in the air.
I also know that if you do not water the roots, the plant will never bear fruit. Sounds like something Chauncey Gardner would say.
And if having jobs corresponds to a healthy root system, turn on the irrigation water that is being held behind that corporate dam. Businesses and the US in general will all benefit from the fruit produced.

Yes, because we see you rushing to defend President Bush from blame when Obama and other Democrats blame the former President for the state of the economy.
In addition, it is Obama's fault because of the policies he has enacted and continues to talk about enacting.
