Obesity vs Covid — What is the bigger problem?

New CDC Study: "the portion of 5-11-year-olds who are classified as overweight or obese is now 45.7 percent, up from 36.2 percent before the pandemic."

45.7% of 5-11 year olds ARE OBESE!!!! 

“Having obesity may triple the risk of hospitalization due to a COVID-19 infection.”

I’m not sure how well the American people, particularly children, have been served by the public health measures that have been taken in response to COVID.

Obesity has reached epidemic proportions globally, with at least 2.8 million people dying each year as a result of being obese. 

Obesity costs the US health care system $147 billion a year.

Now add in the record inflation that's taking place and parents struggling with bills will resort to more cheap, unhealthy food which is only going to make matters worse. The gov't tries to pass off $300 per child, however after 6 months inflation is going to eat that away and then it gets worse when that $300 per child goes away. Where is that money coming from? Will the gov't raise taxes to pay for all this free money? Will the money printer go brrrrr and cause even more inflation and poverty and obesity?

But don't call someone obese because you "will hurt their feelings".

Obesity is why COVID is so deadly.  When you are morbidly obese, you have health problems, health problems mean your more likely to go in the hospital or ICU.

Not once has any government promoted healthy habits during this entire time.  Not one government has promoted Vitamin D and Zinc as a supplement.  The amount of people with Vitamin D deficiency is staggering.  There is a direct correlation between low vitamin D/Zinc and ending up in the hospital.  Nope, all they can do is push the big pharma vaccines down our throat.

This generation of children will go down in history as the "child abuse generation". Masking children is child abuse. Fake vaccinating children is child abuse. Remote learning (schooling) is child abuse.

Covid-19 death rates are 10 times higher in countries where more than half of the adult population is classified as overweight, a comprehensive report from the World Obesity Federation has found.

The report analysed mortality data from Johns Hopkins University and the WHO Global Health Observatory data on obesity.1 Of the 2.5 million covid-19 deaths reported by the end of February 2021, 2.2 million were in countries where over half the population is classified as overweight—defined as a body mass index above 25.

Taking data from over 160 countries, the report found linear correlations between a country’s covid-19 mortality and the proportion of adults that are overweight. There is not a single example of a country with less than 40% of the population overweight that has high death rates (over 10 per 100 000), the report said. Similarly, no country with a death rate over 100 per 100 000 had less than 50% of their population overweight.

Vietnam, for example, had the lowest death rate from covid-19 in the world (0.04 per 100 000) and the second lowest levels of population overweight at 18.3%. The UK has the third highest death rate globally (184 deaths per 100 000) and the fourth highest prevalence of overweight at 63.7%. The United States has the next highest death rate at 152.49 deaths per 100 000 and has 67.9% of the population overweight.

 Guess what happens inflation goes brrrr? Families struggling with bills are forced to buy cheap food that is filled with almost literal shit. That causes weight gains. Weight gains causes unhealthiness which leads to complications with covid. Covid isn't going anywhere. The gov't needs to stop inflation or covid cases are going to continue to get worse! Vaccine or not, being healthy is the best way to fight a virus. When people can't afford quality food, our health care is going to suffer. Closing and issuing fines to gyms was wrong. Forcing people to stay inside was wrong. Closing down small business was wrong.

It's funny that the democrats want to tax the rich with higher capital gains tax. It's also funny that democrats were the ones who pushed heavy to shut down middle class businesses which allowed the top 1% to take away trillions from the middle working class. Do democrats not see their actions during covid are the direct result of the to 1% gaining even more wealth?! If the top 1% "isn't paying their fair share" why the hell would democrats have a plan that allowed the wealthy to gain even more wealth?! Makes absolutely no sense. They wonder why the govt is struggling. THE TAX PAYERS GOT FLEECED DURING COVID AND THE TAX REVENUE IS NOW SITTING WITH THE 1% WHO PAY LITTLE IN TAXES.
