Bush compares 9/11 attack to capital riot as acts of terrorism.  He says it is our continuing duty to confront them.  After 9/11, domestic terrorism has been a greater threat than foreign terrorism according to FBI and department of homeland security.

where Flight 93 was brought down -- thanks to the heroics of the passengers
who revolted against their hijackers.

Here's the key bit :
"In the weeks and months following the 9/11 attacks, I was proud
to lead an amazing, resilient, united people. When it comes to the
unity of America, those days seem distant from our own.
A malign force seems at work in our common life that turns every
disagreement into an argument, and every argument into a clash
of cultures. So much of our politics has become
a naked appeal to anger, fear and resentment.
That leaves us worried about our nation and our future together."

Bush didn't say Trump's name there.
He didn't have to.
If you have been alive and living on Planet Earth for the last 5 or so years,
you know exactly who Bush is talking about with those words. "

Bush and his family are some of the worst, his dad was the worst in my opinion because of his CIA connection and his insider military buddy group, so it is easy for a guy like Bush II to come out and make comments after the fact but really he did nothing to stop the Saudis because he and his family made too much money from them and were obligated.

How many deaths have resulted from domestic terrorism since 2001? 

This is from the washington post — 

Since 2015, right-wing extremists have been involved in 267 plots or attacks and 91 fatalities, the data shows. At the same time, attacks and plots ascribed to far-left views accounted for 66 incidents leading to 19 deaths.

Notice how they include “plots” in the total for the “far right” but only incidents in the total for the far left. 

The Floyd protests led to 25 deaths, 14,000 arrests and $2 billion in insured damages. Was this included in the numbers for the far left? Why not? 

To put these numbers in perspective, 461 people were shot in July 2021 in Chicago.

During the two weeks of clashes in Israel and Gaza this month, the Anti-Defamation League collected 222 reports of anti-Semitic harassment, vandalism and violence in the United States, compared with 127 over the previous two weeks.” 

“Many of the most recent incidents have come from perpetrators expressing support for the Palestinian cause and criticism of Israel’s right-wing government.”

Who got credit for these incidents? Why were they not assigned to the far left? 

 State department keeps a list of terrorists and Black lives matter isn't on it.  Nor is BLM designated as terrorists in global terrorism database by University of Maryland.  BLM civil rights movement supports justice and peace but opposes police violence against black people.  93% of BLM protests have been peaceful according to study of 7750 protests in 50 states at Princeton university.  However FBI calls capital attack domestic terrorism.

Using your own numbers, 543 BLM protests were not peaceful. 

There are 92 days in a summer. 

That is roughly 5.9 protests that were not peaceful, everyday, for an entire summer. 

Can you name a single terrorist organization that has caused more damage in the US than BLM since the organization was founded in 2013? 

Al-Qaeda supports justice and peace as well.

But yes, I saw that "headline" streamed all across the media as well.  Could he be talking about ANTIFA?  What about the Aryan Nation?  Timothy McVeigh?

On the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that changed his presidency, former president George W. Bush on Saturday warned there is growing evidence that domestic terrorism could pose as much of a threat to the United States as terrorism originating from abroad, and he urged Americans to confront “violence that gathers within.”

Without naming it, Bush seemed to condemn the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, when a pro-Trump mob overran the complex in a violent siege that resulted in the deaths of five people. Bush compared those “violent extremists at home” to the terrorists who had hijacked planes on Sept. 11, 2001, and crashed them in New York City, Arlington, and Shanksville, Pa., killing nearly 3,000 people.

“There is little cultural overlap between violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home,” Bush said in a speech at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville. “But in their disdain for pluralism, in their disregard for human life, in their determination to defile national symbols — they are children of the same foul spirit, and it is our continuing duty to confront them.”
