I'm going to use this topic to talk about what I've discussed with a couple of friends. Hillary's arrogance is annoying. I say that because she's dismissed Bernie from the beginning and has also assumed that his supporters are going to automatically vote for her in the general election. She's saying that she'll fight hard for them now but that's really just to produce a soundbyte that seems authentic.
The reality is that Sanders is going to have over 10 million people vote for him when this is over. What I think isn't being pointed out is how many of them may be voting for the first time in their lives or perhaps for years or even decades. The only way a majority of his supporters are going to vote for Hillary is if she meets with him on some of his terms along with reforms to make voting more like direct democracy.
You can dismiss the voters as idiots or rubes or whatever pejorative term you want to use for them. However, it's a bit problematic since I heard that Sanders' and Hillary's camps haven't been talking much at all. The Democrats are probably going to need a large percentage of his supporters for the general election, midterm elections and other smaller races.
The Democratic party, in my opinion, may actually be facing a pivotal point in its history. There's a danger of a viable 3rd party being formed for the future, one that could vote in general elections. That would be devastating for the Democrats. They currently hold the edge in them but if a 3rd party continually votes, it would automatically make it harder for Democrats to win, at least in most of the election cycles. I'm curious to see how they're going to deal with this.

Crooked Killary...disgusting to watch her now and in old newsclips as Sec of State with that frumpy hair and half applied lipstick celebrating hallow victories of overthrows in Egypt, Libya and doing nothing when Syrians were gassed, Benghazi arrogance, and Ovama's social changes in the military-- gay rights, don't tell, women serving in all branches of the military, and other countless social reforms to correct the flawed culture he sees America has. Then these huge overtures of vague peace initiatives to embrace the Muslim world were friends. Iran given a huge break; Cuba embrace of Castro while he's alive, and all the while losing respect from other countries from this bizarre emphasis on our own evils and flaws but allowing Syrian refugees that Saudi Arabia and the UAE will never allow. Killary will get her 48-49% from the loyal Hollywood democratic special interest voters, but Trump will be successful and gain that magical 15% crossover from undecideds who are fed up with crooked politicians. Clintons and Bushes are through.

MAJOR PART of Bernie's appeal to younger voters has been his identification with people and being free from special interests and Wall Street and PAC$$. Most of these will certainly go Trump, as the Bern vote was largely anti Clinton.

But why is it that McConnell is dead last? Why could America chose GOP majority leader as the worst? What exactly did he do for America to choose him as the worst?
According to the Gallup Poll as of April 25th, only 15% of Americans approve of the Congress, and McConnell is the Senate Majority Leader.
Wow this thread got weird and totally off topic lol.
I still think sanders' popularity is not a product of The work he did in the legislative branch but because of the presidential race.
But what exactly is it that McConnell is doing to be thought of as so bad? I get it that there are those that are terrified of an actual discussion about the topic and want to bring up anyone and everyone but the people mentioned. But can we at least try? Lol
