So my last post was about getting restricted by fucking William Hill after winning big-ish on Biden. Since then, I've been exploring a shit ton of other books for odds on the 2024 US election (dem nominee, gop nominee, presidential winner) and multiple sites-- Bet Online, Bovada, and so on-- have them but the limits are low as fuck. They range from 100-250 on Bet Online and similar range on Bovada. I've used Bet Online before and e-mailed them days ago about whether they'd consider a higher limit and haven't heard anything yet. I just don't get this-- they let you around 6k on one freaking football game but a big futures market is 250 bucks max... weird. I guess one difference is that there is a lot of action to balance things out in the UK and maybe not in the US where betting on politics is not really part of the culture in the same way.
At this point, I'm getting on plane and going to freakin Ireland lol.

So i got the good old vpn set up so i can browse books around the world and Paddy Power has some decent offers but of course actually betting with them not possible online because Canada. But say i go to Dublin and go to one of their physical shops, are they giving me the same odds on their website do you think or better ones? Obviously wouldn't want to go there and get worse odds. And assuming I win, do I have to travel back there to pick up the winnings?

I did some research and the answer seems to be yes but of course there is the issue of what the sentence is. Trump can't run from jail. The first question is whether he will be prosecuted at all. Biden seems to hope that he will not be as it would just take over everything and I think there will be great reluctance in prosecuting a former president for relatively petty real estate corruption (unless they have evidence of massive wrongdoing on his part as president but the focus as i understand it thus far is on his dealings as a real estate developer).
In terms of who I like, my greatest interest is in the French election on Macron. On the US side, at current prices I'm interested in Harris as next prez and Trump as the Republican nominee.
