Help me understand your politics take on this.

I personally think it will not work. This is like the failing war on drugs.

People are now going to do it more because it is limited and now there will be an underground market for it.

From a political perspective this is a blame the alcohol solution versus a blame the rapist. Not all people that drink alcoholics become rapists. But I would think that rapists might increase their chance of raping someone if they are drunk. But maybe not as now they are too incapacitated to pull off the rape. None the less it is taking a small part of the population that are rapists and then generalizing a policy that make it like everyone is a rapist by limiting rights and freedoms.

It's always interesting how certain groups are for more rights and freedoms whole other groups are hellbent on limiting and stripping Americans of rights and freedoms with these wars funded by public money
