National Security Advisor Susan Rice told graduates
at Florida International University that the presence of too many
"white, male, and Yale" staffers is posing a threat to the security of
America.
"Too often, our national security workforce has been
what former Florida Senator Bob Graham called 'white, male, and Yale,'"
Rice stated. "In the halls of power, in the faces of our national
security leaders, America is still not fully reflected."
Rice,
like her liberal cohorts, want to force the government and companies to
hire the same demographic percentages that are represented in their
various communities. But it's not just for the sake of diversity; lives
are at stake, the warning goes.
"I’m not talking about a human resources issue," she stressed. "I’m highlighting a national security imperative."
Apparently hiring someone with the right qualifications isn't as important as their skin color for the Obama administration.
Rice also described several potential scenarios where she feels diversity will make all the difference in diplomacy:
Susan should eat her words. The black population in the USA
represents just 12% of the national population; yet, the federal
government in Washington DC is far too disproportionate when it comes to
whites compared to blacks. If she has the nerve to say that we should
hire based on population percentages, then we should fire many of the
incompetent and unqualified blacks in government who were hired just
because of the color of their skin, as she said, starting with her
first.
The obama administration,what a Joke

The ambassador is just talking about the need for more diversity in national security workface and inviting graduates to join public service from a school of international and foreign affairs. Some key quotes of her speech from whitehouse.gov as follows.
"We can see the profound importance of our diversity in the realm of foreign policy and national security.......Solving today's multi-faceted global challenges demand more varied viewpoints and experiences than ever. Intellence analysts, diplomats and military officers who are native speakers may pick up subtle nuances that might otherwise go unnoticed. Diplomats who can read cultural cues may better navigate political and social currents of a foreign nation. Leaders from diverse backgrounds can come up with more creative insights, alternative solutions and better decisions. "
Our national security agencies have not yet drawn fully on the strengths of our great nation. Minorities still makeup less than 20% of senior diplomats. Less than 15% of senior military and intelligence officers."
"Without tapping into America's full range of races, religions, ethnicities, language skills and social economic experiences, we're leading the world with our hands tied behind our back."

What we need quotas here? Secret service protects the first family. Shot an armed man trying to reach the President last week. I do believe these humans are the best of the best. We do not need to lower the standards so it can be a equal o0urttunity be
s . we have lost a president since Kennedy the system works for you and our president. Susan should go back to the UN and spin a tale or two.

I stand by my post #9...No US President attended Yale after William Jefferson Clinton...where I'm I wrong ?
Hmmm.. I believe the President in question was at Yale from 1964-1968 and graduated with a BA degree in history, along with being a cheerleader , a fraternity president (talk about foreshadowing), a rugby player, and a member of the Skull & Bones society. Any clue yet?

He later was part of an MLB team that traded a young Sammy Sosa for Harold Baines
Sure. At the time getting an established .290 vs. an unproved .250 looked good. How was he to know the young guy was gonna cork bats and get juiced up? Or maybe they traded him because of this potential behavior. Still sorta ridiculous to use this as something to make fun of. Lot of other things that may be more legitimate to use.

Not making fun, just throwing facts out. Slim has decided to turn the thread into a joke about the wording that was used rather than discuss the point that was brought up. Then again, shame on me for trying to create anything intelligent from a zelo123 thread.....
