President Donald Trump did not rule out the possibility of seeking a third term in the White House, which is prohibited by the Constitution under the 22nd Amendment, saying in an exclusive interview with NBC News that there were methods for doing so and clarifying that he was “not joking.”
Former Trump White House chief strategist Steve Bannon told News Nation that he thinks Trump will "run and win again in 2028" and that there are "a couple of alternatives" which would allow him to do so, even though there currently aren't under U.S. law.
Bannon is right things can be changed ...that would allow a Trump 3rd run for President.

A third term would put Trump in line with other controversial world leaders who have managed to defy term limits.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stayed in power iin 2008 after his final term ended by instead being elected to serve as Prime Minister—with his close ally Dmitry Medvedev serving as president—during which time the law changed to allow lengthier presidential terms. Putin was reinstated as president in 2012 and has stayed in power since, signing laws in 2021 that will keep him eligible to serve through at least 2036.

Chinese President Xi Jinping was elected to a third term in 2023 after his government amended China’s Constitution to get rid of existing term limits, paving the way for the Chinese leader to potentially serve for life.
That's it ,,President Trump should jump right over a push for a 3rd term and shoot for serving for life.......

The 22nd amendment makes President Trump constitutionally ineligible to run for a third term and the 12th amendment makes him constitutionally ineligible to run as vice president. That said there is no constitutional provision that says speaker of the house must be an elected member of Congress, and there is no constitutional provision that says a two term president cannot become speaker of the house. This would place him third in the order of succession.
Now that said, if something happened to POTUS and VP, and our country was still standing, we would still have a conflict of the 22nd amendment as the Constitution would overrule the succession act. They would either have to elect a new speaker or skip President Trump for the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.
The Constitution is the law of the land. The only options are a constitutional amendment to repeal the 22nd amendment (short on votes) or an Article V convention (short on states)
