Al-Queda the lovely terrorist darlings from the Middle East blow up a restaurant with people watching the World Cup. I'd like to ask Mo, slik and Travis what justification they can make up for this brutal, senseless and barbaric attack on people watching a soccer match. Is Uganda a big supporter of Israel that I'm unaware of, possibly a foreign policy they don't subscribe to? Or do you find the paragraph from the article justification for these fucking maniacs to kill more innocent people. I guess they're not into peacekeepers either.
"The explosions came just two days after an al-Shabab commander, Sheik Muktar Robow, called for militants to attack sites in Uganda and Burundi -- two nations that contribute troops to the African Union peacekeeping force in Somalia."

In Mogadishu, Somalia, Sheik Yusuf Sheik Issa, an al-Shabab commander, told The Associated Press early Monday that he was happy with the attacks in Uganda. Issa refused to confirm or deny that al-Shabab was responsible for the bombings.
"Uganda is one of our enemies. Whatever makes them cry, makes us happy. May Allah's anger be upon those who are against us," Sheik said.
Quality people right there.
It is extremely tough to beat an enemy that has hundreds of suicide bombers at it's disposal

Would've made you feel better if I picked the link from the USA Today's website? How about a comment about the insane barbaric murders instead of a media corporation? While we're at it, please give me some examples of Fox's news being untruthful (other than the crowd picture from Hannity's show that he apologized for). How stupid are you?

You know, it's pretty funny that you chose USA today as an example, since USA TODAY is generally considered the worst daily national newspaper in the country - when measuring information content.
And it's predictable to see you slip into the name-calling. No intelligentsia here! If I wanted news, as you clearly do, then why buy my lemonade (news) from a stand that barely fills my cup? I applaud the fact that you want to stay informed, your trying to stay informed. Fox News is only one small way to go about it - a very small way.

Is that all, given how large their population is? I wonder how many conflicts we're involved in, given how small we are? Is this for all followers of Islam, even U.S. citizens?
another pointless stat.

It's funny, I don't watch Fox News enough anymore to give you a current example. But apparently you're familiar with one. The fact that they had to issue an apology should tell you the state of affairs at Fox News.
Did you ever read, or listen to his reading of, the Bill O'Reilly mystery story he wrote way back? It's the most serious readings of one of the worst pieces of crap I've ever heard. Can't recall the name.

Christ, now the cat's out of the bag. I see that Sarah Palin signed a contract to be a regular contributor to Fox News. Again, and I mean this kindly, that poor lady is as dumb as a box of hair! And I admit that she's very media savvy, certainly a successful woman who's very aware of her attraction, but outside of having some stew with her, I can't imagine getting my news from Sarah Palin. For a bunch of smart gamblers on a great site, some of you sure suck of the worst news tit of the bunch.

This attack should sour the mouths of many African nations with radical islam. Somalia itself is no more a country than Sarah Palin is a respectable politician. If you want somewhere to nation build, head straight to Somalia. They are running around like a bunch of damned comanchees up there. It's like post-Vietnam Cambodia over there.
At the same time, we are instigating similar altercations, like this, on a fairly regular basis, and shamefully, sneaking their accounts on the back page of the newspaper all-too-often.

Like Barack Obama is a respectable politician? And what has he accomplished in his life (besides b.s.'ing the country into making him president)?
No, you need to ask yourself, why are we not in Somalia? Corruption is rampant, life is dirt cheap, and radical Islam is brewing up nicely over there. Not to mention, they've proven that they cannot sustain a stable government the last 20-some years and the flourishing piracy industry. Wouldn't they be the best candidate for a nation build? I mean complete and utter chaos is okay, as long as blacks are doing the dying and don't have anything of value? I guess so.
Why not undertake the relatively easy operation of hoisting a stable, democratic government in Somalia? As it turns out, there are no human lives valuable enough to protect, no strategic foot-hold in the middle east, and no way to undermine the economics behind the scarce resource that is oil.

It's only a matter of time before we're Somalia. I'm hoping that I'm not going to live long enough to see it. I remember well when I graduated high school in 1979 I claimed this country would be Somalia in 100 years. I've revised my estimate to 50 years and now we have an obvious socialist for a president might shorten it even more. Trillions in debt with no concern whatsoever. Any day I'm waiting for a China man to be at my door saying he owns my house, do I have the balance owed?
To answer your question, your probably correct that Somalia has nothing to offer thus it's ignored. I'm not into saving the world anyway. What's to gain from our position in Afghanistan now? We're on to Al-queda and the Taliban. They won't be able to attack the U.S. or congregate, so why are we still there?

Last time we went into Somalia on a peacekeeping mission, the country turned against us. Black Hawk Down was not that long ago, but how quickly people forget. A lot of African countries are poor and rife with Muslim extremists, and unless they have a valuable natural resource, we are not going to try to solve their problems for them.

Good call wiz. The Muslims would just do the same shit they're doing in Iraq because they hate freedom. They love anarchy. Leave 'em be, and that's an across the board statement. Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Africa, of course with a warning of carpet bombing if even a plot of destruction reaches our shores again.

Yes, all Muslims hate freedom and love chaos. That's absolutely correct, because of course, every follower of Islam is the same, inside and out. Who needs Fox News, when we have you?
one of the strongest characteristics of the anti-social personality is the act of broad generalization. I'm not saying you're anti-social, but many news organizations, with their broad generalities, behave like an anti-social personality. In fact, I remember reading a terrific report several years ago which revealed if you did a psych profile on the behavior of most corporations, their behavior would be the behavior of a very disturbed individual. Always found that interesting.
Capitalism is failing in China too, so you're house is safe!

Muslim People are some of the dumbest Nutcases ive seen out there....You take your frustration of how Israel is supposedly taking over Palestinian Land by blowing yourself up and killing Innocent people of your own religion in places like Pakistan, Uganda, Somalia, Yemen etc yet you claim to be "For Islam" and "For Peace"....
NOT 1 of the big Arab Nations has the balls to seriously sit down with the Israelis and Palestinians to clear the mess up, and its Funny how none of these Suicide Bombings happen in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Iran or Syria....If these Schmucks put the same amount of effort into bringing peace between Israel and Palestine as they do in enriching Uranium or Developing Shopping Malls in Dubai there would be peace sooner or Later.
There is no way Islam is this extremist, its the fucking Muslim people...there poverty stricken lifes make them Anti West...therefore using the name of God adds a nice ring to it, ive not done my research on Islam but there is no way a religion has this kind of extremism in its holy book otherwise its not a religion its a Cult.
